What To Expect
Chiang Rai Bicycle Tour
A covered pick up truck will transfer you to our office where we start the tour. it takes about 15 minutes. After a short safety briefing and personalized bicycle fitting, we begin our cycling through villages and rice fields and then follow the Lao River upstream. The bicycle ride is pleasant with much greenery due to the proximity of the river. While you are cycling you will discover the real rural Thailand and see local lifestyle on the outskirts of Chiang Rai. We will cycle past various fruit orchards, rice fields, rubber plantations and teak trees.
Wat Rong Khun
Wat Rong Khun or White temple is the must place in Chiang Rai. You will enjoy looking around this amazing temple.

5.00We picked the half day tour. There was prompt collection from out hotel, the bikes were modern and in good working condition. A lovely, virtually traffic free route through farms and small villages with great commentary from the owner/guide - Bee. A delicious lunch from a choice of 5 then finally arriving at the White Temple which is quite spectacular. A super excursion.

5.00Join-in bike tour. Were picked up at the hotel at the agreed time. Downright well maintained Trek mountain bikes and clean helmet. Beautiful route of about 24 km through the rice fields. Along the way a break with fresh fruit, delicious snacks and tasty lunch. Then visit the White Temple. Recommended!

5.00What a great day. Cycled through Chang Rai countryside and learned so much about the culture, the agriculture and the people. The bikes were awesome Trek mountain bikes. Amon was a great guide. The White temple was a nice way to finish the ride. Don’t hesitate. You won’t be disappointed!

5.00My partner and I had a wonderful day on the half day tour with Amon as our guide. Amon was fantastic, starting the day with a detailed explanation on how to operate the bikes and carefully setting up the bikes for each rider. He also provided great commentary throughout the day. The ride itself went through the countryside around Chiang Rai, over some gentle hills. Some measure of fitness was required but there was a support vehicle tagging along the whole way. The trip really gives a sense of the way of life outside of the main town and the wide array of different crops grown. Couldn’t recommend this tour more highly.

5.00We had such a fun day with Amon, and our 7 year old boy absolutely loved the tour! The landscape was beautiful, and the delicious Thai lunch in the jungle was a real highlight. Amon was so kind and attentive, always keeping an eye on our son to make sure he was comfortable and having a great time. We even had a support car available if we needed a rest such a thoughtful touch. Highly recommend this bike ride through nature in Chiang Rai a perfect adventure for families! 5.00What a great day. We had Amon as our guide who picked us up right on time with his brother and took us to the tour start to get measured for our bikes. Bikes were nearly new and well maintained. We ended up being the only ones on the tour which made it even that much better. We cycled through beautiful landscape for about 25km where we stopped at a local restaurant for lunch. We had also had a short break at about 10km for some snacks and cold water. After lunch it was a 1km ride to the temple. The tour of the temple with Amon was great so much knowledge. Then it was back to our hotel by truck. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone. You can go as fast or as slow as you like. We only ride our bikes at home once a year and did not find the ride difficult.

5.00We were picked up at our hotel and driven to Chaing Rai Bike Tours by Amon and his brother who run the company. We were measured for sturdy mountain bikes and took off for the White Temple. We biked about 14 miles past rice fields, cows, water buffalo and small farmsteads. We were on back roads with minimal traffic occasionally riding on dirt roads. The bikes were excellent. Water and snacks were provided along the way. It was a hot day. Once we arrived Amon toured us around the White Temple. We declined lunch as we had eaten a big breakfast. Touring the countryside and ending at the temple made for a memorable day. Amon emphasized safety throughout the ride. It’s hilly at times, we biked for about two hours. Participants need to be ready for that. We’re two retirees in our sixties, and we were fine.
