The boat will cruise to the first wall called Sea Face, meanwhile the tour guides will explain and give you some tips about the jumping and landing techniques. Before each climb, they'll explain the name, grade and some hard movements you might need in the climb. At first, you'll start with a basic one (4a, 5m high) to get to know the feeling of jumping and correct your landing techniques, then based on your strength and climbing skills, our guides will recommend the next routes for you to try. There are about 15 routes on Sea Face, graded from 4a to 7a, mostly they're from 5a to 6b. There are also some traverse routes if you don't want to jump from a too high level. After you finish with Sea Face, we'll go to the 2nd wall - harder - called Three Brothers, with about 17 routes graded from 5b to 7c+. After all the climbs you'll have about 10 - 15mins to go swimming, have some beers and chill before cruising back to the harbor.

Brilliant guides & boat captain. Super chill group and fun climbing. I'm a 60 year old novice. The easy routes were great, and watching the experienced climbers on the touger routes was cool. Dropping into the sea makes for a sofe, warm landing. All in all a great trip (40 minute cruise each way to & from the climbing site is also a good way to see Lan Ha bay and the fisherman village - if you doing have time for a separate cruise then this is a good alternative) Definitely recommend. Hope to come back and do this again.

I’ve wanted to try deep water solo climbing for a long time, and this trip was everything I hoped for and more. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and instructor than Hai — he was fantastic at encouraging us to push ourselves and also respecting people’s comforts zones, letting us explore a variety of climbs at our own pace. I was grateful to try the 7b, although I had no chance at topping it! The free beer at the end was also a nice touch! Climbing over turquoise waters surrounded by stunning scenery was a truly unique and unforgettable experience. We went in off season, so were a group of 4. However would have had plenty of time for many climbs with a group twice the size. I’d highly recommend this to anyone with at least a bit of climbing experience. Just be aware you do have to jump off what you climb into the sea, which I found great fun! If you’ve never climbed before, I’d suggest visiting their office first to try out their indoor wall and see if it’s right for you. If not, they also offer other amazing activities, like nighttime kayaking with bioluminescent plankton.

I 100% recommend doing the deep water solo half day with them! It was super fun! I was a bit skeptical at first because i don't really climb (maybe a few times and year) and I have no upper body strength, but I was able to do a bunch of climbs and have a great time! Shoutout Mr. High aka Hai—he had a laser pointer and helped guide me up some of the routes while yelling words of encouragement! Do it!!

You gotta go DWS. Great boat ride out into the bay, super fun guide and chill group, people kayaking cheering us on, great opportunity to climb limestone and jump from EASY to EPIC heights if you choose to. Definitely one of highlights of my Asia climbing trip. Thanks Cat Ba Climbing!

Absolutely incredible! My boyfriend brought me for my first Deep water soloing experience and it was fantastic! Not gonna lie I was afraid of falling/ jumping in the water and believe me; after my first jump I kept asking for more. Our guide Tinh knew so very well our needs and skill set and would guide us through climbs that were best suited for every climbers on the boat. Moreover, safety wise, they plan the trips around the tides and weather, you have full insurances included with the price and the overall safety Instructions are very clear. (You can jump safely from anywhere on the climb as soon as they tell you the boat has cleared your landing - which only takes a few seconds) Absolutely reasonable pricing for the amount of knowledge required!! Adrenaline junkies to technical climbers and even for those who are partners tagging along, you will LOVE this experience. The views are scenic and you get to interact with the landscape through a very professional and passionate organization and guide! We liked it so much we went back for a second half day trip of DWS Thank you Cat Ba Climbing this was the best !

For what it’s worth, my girlfriend and I are very experienced climbers and both work in a climbing gym back home. I can confidently say this is the best deep water solo tour you could ask for! We went twice to to do the half day DWS and loved it so much. Highlight of our trip. Our guide was so great and tailors the climbs for everybody's skill level. They know when the tides are high and take you to well established routes that are safe to climb. Even having the insurance included in the cost is reassuring and a testament to their commitment to professionalism. Even just hanging out in the office and trying the climbs on the spray wall was a nice touch for the days we didn’t go into the bay. Friendly staff, knowledgeable guides, great value, amazing climbing. Thank you cat ba climbers!

This place made me feel at home from the very beginning. Mr. Zoom, the owner, is passionate about climbing and has established some challenges on the small indoor wall they have. After a few tries, I managed to send the white-tape boulder and won a bronze medal. I also succeeded in the 0 problem and got a free Deep Water Soloing tour. It was an amazing experience—we climbed up to 15 meters above the sea, with incredible views of Lan Ha Bay and countless islands emerging from the water. The team is also very nice. I had the opportunity to climb with Hai, Tin, and Mickey. They are all very motivated and share a strong passion for this sport. I really recommend this place for booking climbing tours or renting gear!
