Tobi was a really good host. We had a really great time with him. He would answer all the questions we had, and the experience was really good. He explains all the points. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely be asking for him for other tours as well.

Gobi was great and very knowledgeable giving us all the details of the history and meaning of temples and Chiang Mai with so much patience. Definitely worth it to do this tour while in Chiang Mai. The tour is on a very comfortable van with plenty of cold water and AC.

The tours offered by all good travel are great and can be adjusted as desired. We took this half day but also added the Hmong tribe. Gobi helps you meet people because he has a natural empathy. And the minivan is nice with water on demand.

Bee was very informative and knowledgeable. She was very polite and had a great attitude. The driver, Mr B, kept the car very clean, drove comfortably, and made sure there was water and towels to provide.

The half day tour was very efficient and informative. Gobi, our guide, was the perfect host. He supplied a plethora of information and insight. He is a true professional! We visited the two temples and never felt rushed. He explained everything succinctly with lots of sidebars and anecdotes. The tour never dragged, and we felt we truly experience a piece of Thailand’s culture.

Our second trip with guide Nui from AP Travel. Again we were picked up from our hotel this time on a half day tour to Doi Suthep and Palad temples. Very interesting trip made more so by Nui’s knowledge. We asked at the end of the trip if we could be dropped off in the old town of Chiang Mai instead of the hotel and Nui was happy to oblige. Fond memories of our visits to Chaing Mai and our guide Nui both trips were a reasonable price too for a private tour.

Really enjoyed this evening trip. We were picked up at 4pm in a mini bus. The traffic was busy leaving Chang Mai. The ‘Hidden Temple’ in a lovely setting in a forest and was very peaceful. The driver told us about the different parts of the temple. We then went to Doi Suthep temple. From there you could see the whole of Chiang Mai. The sunset was hazy but the view was still good.

This week my wife and I went on the Half Day Doi Sutherland and Palau Temple tour by private car. We were fortunate enough to have Mr Gobi as our tour guide for the second time (upon our request). I have to say this was one of the best tours we have ever been on and was made even better by having Mr Gobi as our guide. The temples we were taken to were amazing and Mr Gobi was a wealth of knowledge on the history of not only the temples but the countries past. We found Mr Gobi to be easy going and friendly with a great sense of humour which kept us entertained. He felt more like a friend than a tour guide by the end. We enjoyed his knowledge and company so much that we requested he take us on the next tour we had booked. We’d also like to give our driver, Mr Boo a shout out as he was an extremely careful driver who managed to navigate the windy roads to our destinations. We highly recommend this tour!

Our visit to the Elephant Hospital in Chiang Mai and the King's Elephant Camp was one of the most impressive experiences I have ever had. It was fascinating to see how important it is that elephants learn from their mahouts how to behave during a medical examination. Of course, even the most experienced mahout cannot always guarantee that an elephant will remain absolutely calm. Therefore, the legs of the animals are secured during treatments with ropes – a measure that ensures not only the safety of doctors and caregivers, but also that of the elephants themselves. Anyone who hastens to label this practice as cruelty to animals probably did not understand how responsibly it works here. Both in the hospital and in the sanctuary, the needs of the elephants are met with so much love and care that you can feel how well the animals are doing there. Our guide Goby and our driver Boo have taken the whole experience to a new level. Goby was incredibly friendly, charming and full of knowledge. He not only explained everything about the elephants, but also gave us deeper insights into Thai culture and the life of the Mahouts that we would never have otherwise gotten. After the elephant visit we explored a local market together, where Goby told us so many details and stories that the trip was unforgettable for us. Also our previous tour to two temples was just great. Goby impressed us with his extensive factual knowledge and insights into Buddhist culture – something made even more special by his own experience as a former monk. I can only recommend this tour to anyone who wants to discover the true Thailand. The combination of nature, culture and knowledge has made our stay in Chiang Mai a unique experience!
