Fort Frederick
Fort Frederick and Fort Matthew are two historic forts perched atop Richmond Hill in St. George’s, Grenada, offering stunning panoramic views of the capital, Grand Anse Beach, and the southern coast. Fort Frederick, built by the French in 1779, is known as the “backward-facing fort” due to its strategic inland design to defend against land attacks. Just a short walk away, Fort Matthew is Grenada’s largest fort, with a fascinating past as a military hospital and later a mental institution. Both sites blend rich colonial history with breathtaking scenery, making them must-see stops for culture and photo lovers alike.
GCNA Grenada Nutmeg
The Grenada Co-operative Nutmeg Association (GCNA) nutmeg plants are at the heart of the island’s identity as the “Spice Isle.” These thriving trees produce the fragrant nutmeg seed and its bright red aril, known as mace. At GCNA processing stations, you can see how nutmeg is harvested, dried, sorted, and prepared for export — a tradition that has powered Grenada’s economy for over a century.

We highly recommend this company. We had a brilliant day out with Issy. She made our day so special. Issy is so knowledgeable about the island both in history, politics and a few secrets. The day went by so fast as we were enjoying ourselves so much. My sister has lived in Grenada for 24yrs. We visited places that my she had never been to. If you choose this Island tour. Take your swim wear with you. We visited the Royal Mt Carmel waterfall where we enjoyed the pool and sat underneath the waterfall. We experienced wild monkeys who we fed bananas under the supervision of the warden. Came home loaded with chocolate from the chocolate factory and many products from the Nutmeg museum. Even Fort Frederick and Matthew which look quite boring from the outside had lots of interesting facts and tunnels that lead to interesting places. You will not be disappointed.

Lovely trip. Different to other half day tours we have done. Rodney was very pleasant and knowledgeable and most importantly interesting, not just giving us facts and figures but taking us off the beaten track to show us the real Grenada. Would thoroughly recommend.

If you’re looking to explore Grenada the right way, Easy Taxi and Tours is it. From the moment we met Izzy, we knew we were in good hands. She’s not just a driver—she’s a guide, storyteller, and unofficial photographer all rolled into one. Her driving was incredibly safe (which matters on those winding island roads), and the van was cool, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing between stops. What really made the experience stand out was the way she brought the island to life. Along the way, she shared fun facts, local history, and little insights you’d never get on your own. It never felt scripted—just easy, engaging conversation that made you appreciate Grenada even more. And the extras? That’s where Izzy shines. She helped us capture some amazing photos (no awkward selfies needed!) and even hooked us up with a “secret” tasting at the rum factory that felt like a true insider experience. All of this came at a really fair price, which honestly made it feel like even more of a win. If you want to tour Grenada in a way that’s safe, affordable, and full of personality, we’d recommend Izzy and Easy Taxi and Tours in a heartbeat. Good vibes, great stories, and an unforgettable day on the island 🌴✨

We went on an all day tour with Izzy . Communication was excellent in the planning stages , dates and what we wanted to do . Her taxi was spotless , she was an excellent driver , full of knowledge of every location we went . The tour ran over the allotted time . Izzy was always happy and gave us plenty of time to see each location we chose . I got to see so much on the tour thanni have ever seen. 27 years of visiting Grenada . I plan to go again with my husband and we are both excited to go with Izzy in the future . If you visit between March to July please go on the turtle watching tour . Izzy went above and beyond and her husband as well. They made Roti and coco tea for the watching tour. Delicious . We got to see a turtle , but if we hadn’t it would have still been perfect . See you soon Izzy.

This was the best Island Tour with Izzy that I’ve been on. She took us to places that I’ve never been too although I’ve lived in Grenada now for almost 25 years. I highly recommend it !

Our guide Izzy was wonderful! She was friendly, personable and quite knowledgeable. She is passionate about her country and did her best to show us a good time. After stating that I was particularly interested in interacting with the monkeys at Grand Etang National Park, she promised to do what she could to make that happen. Luckily, the monkeys were there when we arrived and she took many great pictures for us. She was also warmly welcomed every place we stopped. That’s a testament to her character for sure m.

We had Kelsen as our driver/guide. He was so friendly, knowledgeable and fun. He even allowed us to customize a bit since we wanted to skip the waterfall and instead took us into St. George to explore a bit. The only disappointment was at the Nutmeg Co-op, the 4 ladies there were not friendly at all. Not even a little bit. We didn’t feel welcome, felt more like an annoyance and burden, like they couldn’t be bothered and wanted us to leave. I wouldn’t recommend that co-op and maybe ask to go to another spice garden or something else.

Izzy was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and professional throughout our trip. After researching numerous tours and reading glowing reviews—specifically about Izzy herself—we decided to book with her, and the high praise was well-deserved. I particularly appreciated that all site admission fees were included in the initial price, making for a seamless experience. A major highlight was definitely meeting and photographing the Mona monkeys!

Easy was in touch ahead of time and told us who our guide would be and what he was driving. It was a nice personal touch. Kelton was an EXCELLENT and personable, knowledgeable guide. We learned a lot about Grenada. He was very respectful and aware of my husband walking with a cane and adjusted accordingly. No rushing to anywhere. Explained the monkeys were not that active this time of year because they were tending their young. But we lucked out and a local enticed one to come out and local enticed one to come out and play. Kenton even made a shopping stop at our request! We would highly recommend this company for a learning and personalized tour.

This was another wonderful trip with Izzy at Easy Taxi and Tours. It was a bit of a mystery tour off the beaten track. We went on a rainforest walk to the deserted Black Bay beach, which had the most beautiful volcanic diamond sand ❤️ We learned about the plants and abundance of fruits that surround this beach, hiked up to a natural cave with fruit bats 🦇 We swam and snorkelled in the sea to see some amazing colourful coral and fish. It was a fantastic afternoon and Izzy is so knowledgeable and great company. We have had other guides in Grenada (that we booked before arriving) but they are not a patch on Easy Taxis and Tours if you want a trip in Grenada 🇬🇩 You will 100% not be disappointed booking with Izzy.
