What To Expect
We start the tour at Hang Me Mẹ local restaurant to tast 3 cakes: - Bánh Bèo (water fern cakes): Bánh bèo is made from a combination of rice flour and tapioca flour. It is popular street food in Vietnam. The ingredients include rice cake, dried shrimps, crispy pork skin, scallion oil, and dipping sauce. - Bánh Nậm (Flat Steamed Rice Dumpling): Rice flour with mixture of Shrimps and lean meat pork steamed in banana leaves. - Bánh Lọc ((Rice dumpling cake): It is covered with banana leaf. In each cake, there is a piece of shrimp and ground pork. The fish sauce goes with Bánh bột lọc is different from Bánh bèo. It is saltier, therefore, it is served in a very small plate. How to eat it? You peel the leaf, dip the cake with a sauce, then put it in your mouth… Yummy!
We will enjoy Bún Hến- mixed noodles with mussels- A mixed noodles with many kinds of vegetables, peanuts, small mussels...with fish sauce.

5.00We had the Tour together with Ha. She showed us very interesting places where you can get typical Vietnamese food. She explained a lot to us and the food was very good. We tried food at places which we could not find without her help. The evening was very entertaining. We can recommend this tour! Thank you for this great experience!

5.00Fantastic tour. Our guide, Ha, was super friendly and very knowledgeable. Great way to experience Hue through a local's eyes. Also got to learn about the history of the city through different dishes. The tour was not too long but gives you a good walk through the city, from the new to old side. Would highly recommend.

She took us to several local ‘street food’ vendors that we would have never tried and the food was great. She shared with us a wealth of information about the food, the vendors, the city and her own life and family. We were really pleased to have taken this tour and spend some time with Ha.

5.00This tour was brilliant! Ha (my guide) was excellent - friendly, knowledgable and she picked wonderful places to eat and food that I wouldn’t have known (or maybe dared) to choose without her. Travelling around the city on a cyclo was wonderful and my driver was very cheerful and warm. I’d highly recommend this experience to others.

My guide Ha was an absolute delight and introduced me to some wonderful food - in places I would never have gone by myself and to places that I only saw locals eating in. The food tastings were genuine discoveries - things I have never tried before nor knew existed. My guide Ha not only had great food knowledge but her conversations around Vietnamese life and culture were absolutely fascinating and enlightening. And travelling around the city on a cyclo was a total buzz - with such a warm and friendly driver. I can only highly recommend this experience.

5.00An incredible food tour across many different food vendors in Hue! It was a great way to see the city on motorcycle since I was the only person on the tour. Ha was very kind and introduced each dish to me, answering my many many questions. Would definitely recommend!
