Ottsjö is famous for its scenic views, surrounded by a wild landscape of wide open wilderness attracting photographers and tourists from all over the world. We are just located 30 minutes away from Åre ski resort and 1 hour from Östersund.
Our reputation as a dog sledding and bushcraft company is well known for being of a high standard and we have been delivering bushcraft survival courses in both Sweden and the UK for 20 years. Our courses combine simple step by step instruction with lots of hands on practical experiences to create fun opportunities to learn new skills in a pristine arctic environment.

What To Expect
Half Day - This 2 hour excursion takes us towards Ridvadet. Travelling through forest openings you get a fantastic view towards Vålådalen and Lundörren before we stop for a break on the shores of Ottsjön. The return journey takes us along the edge of the lake. This hike can easily be modified in length for families with young children, it is recomended that children 4 and under are in a baby carrier. Approximate distance - 6-8km 400kr per person (8+) - If you wish you can bring a Fika as there will be an opportunity to stop and eat

5.00I don’t know what to say except that I had a natural high for a couple of days afterwards. Claire was so welcoming and warm. Richard instilled confidence in us which helped us to embrace the responsibility of driving the sled. Loved every second of it. I’m ready for another trip!

5.00I am totally blown away doing the Wild Spirit Dog Sledding Tour... Snow, barking strength, action up and down the hills, back and forth to Hållfjällen! Amazing dags (especially Fly and Volvo). Amazing nature. Wow! Big hugs to Richard and Claire for the fantastic experience!

5.00Amazing experience with these absolutely adorable huskies 😍 Richard and Marcus were the best ❤️ Instructions were thorough and made us feel secure and all set for the ride 😊 It was so good that it was a hands on experience, everyone had a chance to sit on the sledge as well as to be the driver. Boys, 11 and 12 years old, liked it a lot and got to be the drivers as well 😊 I will definately come back when next time here in Åre for skiing. Thank you, Claire and Richard for this amazing time with your cutest dogs ❤️
