The first part of our excursion begins down in the mouth of the canyon along the edge of the river. As we ride we will have the opportunity to cross the river at several points which is always great fun! Throughout the ride those who wish to have some exciting gallops will have several opportunities to do so. After this rest stop we continue on our trusty steeds up-and-out of the canyon until reaching it's spectacular cliffs. Here we make a 20 minute pause break in order to take some completely spectacular photos. It is also here that whoever wishes to will have the opportunity to rappel off the sheer 150 foot-high cliff faces! Then we continue over the plains and amongst the cattle. After a short while we reach a further edge of the canyon and begin a 40 minute descent back down to it's rocky bottom, where we once again find the winding river named La Virgen which we will continue to cross at several more points. For the grand finale the ladies back at the ranch will have ready for us one of the most delicious organic ranch-style meals that you will ever experience. Guaranteed to be one of the best meals you can possibly find in San Miguel de Allende!

Booking this was easy. The 2.5 hour ride was on a trail that crossed water several times, up a steep and rocky trail to the top of the canyon. We rested for 15 minutes then descended the trail back to the ranch. The guides were fabulous and made sure we stayed in line safely. The horses were trained & well cared for. Most of the employees spoke little to no English. The horse assigned to me was very well trained, did not try to eat grass on the trail and listened to my commands. My only negative for me was the small horse I was assigned needed to do a lot of trotting to keep up with the larger horses so I was a bit sore the next day. No helmets were provided. For folks that had little or no trail riding experience, the introduction to riding at the beginning was probably not sufficient or well understood. The luncheon afterward was well done and appreciated. JoAnn Yost

I had a wonderful time. The excursion is very well organized and professional. I hadn't been on a horse in 40 years but the lead guide's explanations were clear. The assistant guides were kind and helpful. It was a demanding outing -- as the guide said, it was an adventure, not just a trail ride. Magnificent scenery. I would definitely go again.

This was the highlight of our trip to San Miguel de Allende! Rodrigo gave great instructions before the ride and the horses were very well-trained. The views were incredible along the way! Rodrigo, Toño, and all the guides were excellent. The meal was delicious and a perfect end to a special day.

The trail ride was extremely well run, and the horses were steady and patient. The trail runs along (and sometimes through) a narrow river, then climbs to the top of the canyon, where the view is awesome. Rappelling down the rock is an option (I was a spectator). The package included a simple, wholesome lunch on a comfortable porch. The guide and staff did an excellent job.

Yunuen was our guide and did an excellent job of making us feel comfortable and gave us specific instructions to ensure our ride was both safe and smooth. The terrain is simply gorgeous and it is the best way to get the views of the canyon. The horses are all very well trained and guides were experts at helping us when necessary. Lunch was included and delicious at a private casa. Overall an excellent experience and highly recommend it.

We are so glad we did this activity! At the end of the day we couldn't stop smiling and were so sore we could barely walk! The horses and cowboys were so much fun. The trails were more challenging than we thought but thoroughly enjoyable.

Very enjoyable. We were picked up in comfort taken to the stables. There were 5 in our group. The horses are so smart and gentle. Crossing water several times. Then up a beautiful trail. We had cowboys and dogs with us the whole time. Wonderful experience
