Join us on an exploration of the scenic fjords and islands. Kayaking definitely offers you the ability to be closer to nature than a lot of other activities do. The half day Kayak Adventure is about 3hours long and departs daily at 10:00 or at 14:00. Group size can vary from 4-12 people. Includes: snacks and hot drinks

What To Expect

We meet at Eggum, on the beach where you will get to know your highly experienced guide and the rest of your group. We will go over kayak safety, route and conditions and you will get to know your kayak. We will be paddling North-East and all around the beautiful small islands. We provide delicious snacks and hot drinks for you to maintain energy while we paddle. While you are resting, watching the birds or sea life and taking in the views from your kayak your guide will tell you stories about the life and nature of Lofoten. For this trip, it’s not necessary to have any previous experience. 99% of our guests never kayaked before. This is a short but fun filled experience for everybody!

Great instruction on safety and best kayaking techniques. Route taken gives good views and chance to see birds and sea life. We actually caught sea urchin and ate it fresh during break on one of the islands with hot tea and cookies. You had to stay close to guide to hear his comments about the area We had fantastic weather to enjoy this experience

We have been on the Lofoten with the ship and were picked up by Jules and Lucio at the port. Then made a super interesting kayak tour on the Atlantic. Equipment and guides were great, highly recommended. 30min each from Leknes to Eggum and about 3 hours paddling.

Amazing experience! Definitely recommend this activity to everyone coming to the Lofoten Islands. This was the highlight of our trip 😁 Our guide Santi was exceptional! He made sure everyone had fun and that everyone felt safe. He even took pictures of us and gave them to us at the end of the day. Would do this again anytime 🛶

We were well looked after and Lucio was a fantastic guide. In addition to the fantastic environment, we saw among other things sea eagles. Highly recommend a tour with Northern Explorer.

We had a great kayak tour with Santiago at Eggum. Everything worked out great. We were picked up on time in Leknes-Gravdal. Great briefing, safety is a top priority here, then an incredibly beautiful tour with a short island stop. For us a highlight on our Norway tour Susi and Micha

Lovely tour, beautiful view and an excellent guide. Very friendly and helpful staff. We originally booked the full day combo with rappelling, but it got cancelled due to weather. Instead, they opened an extra time for the shorter kayak tour when it was beautiful weather. Much appreciated!

Fantastic experience in fantastic landscape. Great guides; kind, funny and skilled. Highly recommended! But beware: The tour goes over a section with quite open waters, and this can be a little bit daring if the wind is stronger than expected, especially in winter. Important to pay close attention to the guides and do exactly as they say :)
