What To Expect

Departure is at 9:00 AM aboard a robust Toyota 4x4, embarking on a 30-minute off-road journey to the base of the dune. Upon arrival, the vehicle remains parked below as we continue on foot, accompanied by our knowledgeable guide, exploring numerous lagoons such as the Blue Lagoon, Lazy Lagoon, Toyoteiro Lagoon, Emerald Lagoon, and more. By approximately 1:00 PM, we will return to our starting point. Step into a World of Mesmerizing Blues – The Lagoa Azul Experience! Lenois Marahenses is an unbelievably fantastic place to visit. If you are extremely keen to see multiple sections of it ( as I was) then you should take this tour in addition to the tour of Lagoa Bonita. However if you are satisfied with one single tour and excursion of Lencois Maranhenses then definitely take the Lagoa Bonita tour, since it’s one fifth the cost and equally good.

The trip was breathtaking! However, instead of being in Portuguese with other tours, we booked the English tour. For this we paid about double what would not have been necessary in retrospect. A hint about strong winds and flying sand would have been good for me! Our tourguide Diegp was very sympathetic for this!
