The New River Gorge is the second oldest river in the world. Coursing through a 1000' deep canyon that is lined with soaring sandstone cliffs it is no surprise that this area was recently designated as a National Park. Wildlife sightings are abundant and guests will finish their river trip beneath the famous single arch expansion bridge known as the New River Gorge Bridge.

What To Expect

If you're on a tighter schedule and don't have time for a full day on the river this half day trip through the New River Gorge National Park is perfect for you! You'll run the same 15 rapids rated up to Class V and take in all the incredible scenery without pausing for lunch, surfing or other trip additions. This is an 8-12 mile trip depending on the water level the day of your trip. Transportation to and from the river is included on this full day adventure. A trained, professional guide will be guiding your raft.

Brodie was a great guide, he was extremely skilled and had a great personality. Everything was on time, and they even provided cold drinks after the trip.

Fantastic white water rafting experience with our amazing guide Zack. It was a 9 person family trip & he really kept us informed and engaged throughout the experience. He even gave us a recommendation for a great hike for the next day. Would definitely use ACE again!

Don’t bring anything on the river with them unless in waterproof case. Eat before you go. Be prepared to get wet.

We had such a great time. Our guide was very knowledgeable and took good care of us. We are a couple near retirement age but still had a great time with all the younger people. Can't wait to go again!

What a fun trip! I was afraid as I really don't like water, but love adrenaline. Jake was a great guide who told us exactly what to do and kept us safe. The rapids were challenging and fun. Even as an older person, this was a great day trip.
White water rafting the New River

We made an impromptu decision to raft in the morning and were able to get our group of 11 in for a 2:30 trip through the lower New River. Our raft guide Jordyn was amazing the river and a great trip leader. We all had a great time and are looking forward to going again. They took amazing photos and just were a great company to work with.

This is my second time white water rafting and using this company! They are the only mom and pop rafting company left as all the others have gone corporate. Visiting a place like WV you need to support the local, family owned shops and businesses. Both times I went solo and both times I had a blast with a different experience. Last year the river was slow and the rapids not too crazy. We were on the river until noon. This last time the river was much higher and faster which lead to larger rapids and more fun + getting wet! We finished around 11 this trip. This is such a fun experience and you learn about the gorge while rafting. The people who work here and run this place are all hands on and make the experience so much more enjoyable for you. Highly recommend!

The entire experience with Ace and rafting was great! We were in a car accident on our way to Ace and were unable to keep our reservation since we needed to use that time to go get a rental car. The staff were amazing at rescheduling and even offering us a ride to the rental car company. The next day we returned for our rescheduled time and everyone showed concern about our situation. The rafting guide, Tug, was very knowledgeable, funny, and entertaining the entire time. He made sure everyone was comfortable and had a great time.
