Wonderful afternoon eco tour on Villimale with Shark where I learned about the land, water, floral/fauna, food and garbage. 😂 Deep conversations and some really good laughs! How many ways one can make a tuna and coconut dish still has me in awe! @secretparadisemaldives Thank you for putting together such perfect tour.

I recently joined a fish identification snorkeling tour, and I can honestly say it was one of the highlights of my trip! Very good communication with Ruth and well organised tour. The experience was not only incredibly fun and beautiful but also surprisingly educational. My guides UB and Ziyaan from `Safe the Beach` were extremely knowledgeable and passionate about marine life, and they made learning about the different fish species both engaging and accessible — even for someone like me who had very little prior knowledge. What really stood out to me was the tour's strong commitment to sustainability. From eco-friendly equipment to respectful interaction with the reef and marine animals, it was clear that protecting the ocean was a top priority for them. They took the time to explain how we could snorkel responsibly and gave great insight into marine conservation efforts happening in the area. Seeing the vibrant underwater world up close and learning how to identify various fish was eye-opening. I walked away with a much deeper appreciation for ocean ecosystems and the creatures that inhabit them. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in marine life, sustainability, or simply looking for a meaningful and memorable snorkeling experience. Thank you very much. You are doing very meaningful work.

It was everything as promised. We were well taken care of getting from the meeting point to the island and back. Save the Beach is doing wonderful work. Only issue was that four hours was too long. Lots of walking.

One has to take a ferry boat to Villinmale in Male. The journey is around twenty minutes, Villinmale on map is just east of Male and on Google map is shown as Villinggili. But because a bridge linking Male is being built, it will be called Villinmale just like the island with the airport is called Hulhumale. Only electric motorbikes and buses are allowed on this island. Due to the effort of the NGO organization to educate the students, this island is more ecologically conscious and there’s much less strewn plastic bottles and garbage. The NGO taught students can learn scuba diving to restore the coral beds and to care for the environment and have now in turn able to educate others as well as going into marine related careers. This island is not big as it took about five thousand steps to walk around. This is the first time I’ve seen and tasted Sea Almonds. Coral restoration seems to be making progress. One method is using hexagonal shaped and coated rebars to anchor bits of corals. The students know that their islands are there because of the corals and the beaches are also related to corals. I hope the success of this NGO’s work can be populated to other islands.

Can only recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn more about the Maldives and especially about the reefs. Was alone on the tour and it felt more like an afternoon among friends. I have learned so much new and think it is great what work is done here.🥰

We have just returned from an island hopping holiday organised by Secret Paradise and I cannot recommend them highly enough! Ruth and the team offered a faultless service from literally the moment we arrived at the airport to the moment we left the airport. The guides are knowledgeable, efficient and friendly and having their help to get boats and taxis made it a stress free experience. We also did a tour of Vilimale island next to Male, our guide Kamey was absolutely brilliant and a massive hit with our kids as well. the tour was in conjunction with the local conservation NGO and we really learned alot about conservation issues in the Maldives. All in all a fantastic experience and service from Secret Paradise!

I can't recommend Secret Paradise highly enough. We did two walking tours with them, the 4 hour Male walking tour at the start of our trip, and the 4 hour Villimale Eco Tour at the end of our trip. Both were absolutely fantastic. Ub was our guide on Villimale, along with Bebe from Save the Beach. This was a fantastic and eye opening experience which we're so glad we did. The banter between the two of them was great and they made us feel like friends as soon as we met them. HIGHLY recommend if you're thinking of doing any tours while in the Male area to book with Secret Paradise. Our experience on the tours was fantastic.

Very good time, we took the boat, to go snorkeling in a site where they feed the fish, so it was beautiful hundreds of colorful fish, rays.... Then head to the white sand island for photos. All right. Finally we went to eat in a typical restaurant super nice. Finally we take us back to another site snorkeling to see the sharks but not in sight. We finished 1 hour later. I really recommend 100%.

A truly educational experience about the environmental effects of political and structural changes in the area, and the efforts to diminish and reverse the impact on the reefs and beaches. Really enjoyed learning from Irene, Archie, and Nafsha, as well as having some local snacks with them.
