Join this small-group cycling tour to explore the countryside of Penang, Balik Pulau. The tour will start at 7am from your hotel where we will transfer you to Balik Pulau. Exploring the town by bicycle has all the advantages of going by foot, combined with a much greater action radius and cooling breeze. If you want to experience Balik Pulau hideaways and countryside, touched by the charm of Malaysian way of country life at personal level, bicycle is a great way to do it. This tour will bring you to see local life in the Penang countryside. Away from Balik Pulau town there is a labyrinth of minor roads, pathways and alleys. Cyclists are treated as pedestrians, so you can use bicycle to explore fruit orchard, plantation, mangrove, fishing village and dozens of traditional Kampung in Penang.

5.00Loved it. Beautiful scenery and great guide (Eddie). Also got to try some homemade goat milk ice cream which was delicious! No helmets but the ride was mainly flat and not tiring. Would recommend this to everyone to see more of Penang!

4.00If you are on Penang for 3 days a great activity to do. Take only 3.5 hours to collect/return. Good service. Eddy is a nice entertaining guide, setting is rural and flat. We expected to cycle a little more.

5.00This was a wonderful way to see part of Penang island. We rode through small villages, plantations, and visited a goat farm. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. Although the bikes were a bit old, they worked great. We were able to see parts of Penang that we otherwise wouldn’t have seen. The goat farm was great for the kids, and they enjoyed seeing ostriches, goats and rabbits among other animals. Our kids were 11 and 12 and were able to keep up without problem. Probably wouldn’t want to take kids much younger than that, however. I would highly recommend this tour!

5.00It was a beautiful bike ride through the Penang countryside. After reading other comments I was concerned about the age of the bikes; but, they were very easy to use, no need for gears or flash equipment, it added to the charm of the experience. The guide was very knowledgeable. The whole tour was very well thought out from when you’re picked up at your hotel to when your dropped back.

1.00The bicycles are in dire need of maintenance. My seat kept going down after every small bump. Eventually I stopped tying to adjust it back. Rusty, squeaky and ancient. The worst part about the tour was seeing a large dead cow in the river and a poor dog with a broken foot. Worst day in Malaysia. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

5.00Really good, picked up at 7 on the dot in an air-conditioned car. Went to the start point and then biked around the area for a few hours. The highlight was the animals at the goat farm, my kids really enjoyed that. The owners are good people, none of the usual angling to get extra money. Just took us to local businesses and then bought us stuff. Was a great day. Please get better bikes.

5.00TC was our guide. Punctual in pick up. Throughout the ride, he was attentive and gave great intro to the various spots we visited. Had nice coffee break at a kopi shop and ice cream at the animal farm. Highly recommended for easy family or couple bicycle ride in a village.
