Being as it was a 7 start was unable to get breakfast in hotel. So maybe pick up 30 mins later. …….. but the cycling was very good and guide told us a lot. Would have liked to cycle for longer

The bike tour itself was genuinely enjoyable. I loved riding through the countryside and getting a glimpse into daily rural life. It is an experience I never would have seen if I had stayed in the city and for that part alone the tour was worth doing. However, there is one major issue that completely overshadowed my experience. The tour started at Audi Animal Farm, where we stopped only briefly to get our bikes. I went to the bathroom and had a quick look at the animals and I was honestly shocked. A look at Google reviews later confirmed that many others felt the same. If this bike tour is connected to or financially supporting this animal farm, then I do not want my money going toward that in any way. This is absolutely not a place I would choose to support. At the end of the tour we stopped at the dairy goat farm, which I understand is a regular pit stop. The conditions for the animals there were disturbing. There was an ostrich kept alone in a tiny enclosure, two meerkats kept inside the smallest bird cage imaginable pacing back and forth from boredom even though meerkats naturally dig and burrow underground and should never be placed in a cage beside rabbits and guinea pigs. There were also three porcupines, the large North American type, stuck in a bare concrete enclosure of about two by three meters with nothing but walls around them. They had no shelter, nowhere to hide, nothing enriching and they were just sitting huddled in a corner trying to sleep in the heat even though they are nocturnal animals. The chickens and goats at the farm had more space and better conditions than all of these exotic animals combined. To end my review, I truly believe the tour company should reconsider endorsing or partnering with places that keep animals under such poor conditions. The countryside ride and the cultural experience are more than enough and those parts were lovely. Supporting facilities with inadequate animal welfare takes away from an otherwise great tour and it is something that needs serious attention.

Hotel pick-up, drop-off comfort and Penang's thick countryside rides were great. If you stay in Penang for more than 3 nights and 4 days, it is recommended to include it in the schedule. Riding itself isn't difficult, it's better to go alone or as a family unit. Clothes are good for long pants as well-drying material, and rain clothes are provided when it rains.

I stayed 6 days in Penang and this was the highlight of my trip having done everything there was to do in Penang. Eddie was so knowledgeable about the history, culture, politics, food, and shared it all giving an outsider a very good perspective of things.

We were picked up in time in a comfortable Air conditioned vehicle and had a senic drive to the otherside of the island. There were clean bathrooms to use upon arrival. We were given a bottle of water and an old bike that still functions. It's time to update your bikes. The country side was beautiful but and for the short 2 hour time in the bike, a lot was covered. Eddie was a fantastic tour guide, he made the adventure special and was full of knowledge of the area and Malay history. We had some coffee and a kaka filled pastry at one stop and at the goat farm, fresh goat milk ice‐cream. I'd give it 5 stars if not for the quality of the bike. Great job Eddie!

An early punctual pickup followed by a smooth 50 minute minibus transfer, the bikes were fine but basic and the tour was just the right balance of cycling, information and stops. Snacks, drinks and water were included, it was a lovely change to see the countryside after the bustle of Georgetown. Overall a very good tour.

Thank you, Eddie! For me, this was the best part of my Penang trip. I was able to see a small part of the local life in Penang, nature as well as animals. Our tour guide was really patient, always saying, Take your time. He was also informative and funny! Since it had been a long time since I rode a bike, I was worried I could not keep up. This was not the case at all! No hills or hard paths. Easy and kind of relaxing! Definite recommendation!
