This tour gives you the opportunity to go deep inside the culture and the way of life of people of colombo. This is not just an ordinary city tour go around the city by a car without getting close to the people. We will be using Tuk Tuks where you can find only in south asia. It will be a different experience for you for sure. We will be walking in the busy street with the locals, we will try street foods, you will get a chance to move with people and we will give you an in-depth knowledge on Buddhism, Hinduism, catholicism and islamic teachings and how these four religions lives in harmony and peacefully within this small island.

What To Expect

Gangaramaya Temple

This is the place where we going to start the tour. Our guide will meet you at the temple's car park. Here after he will take you inside the temple and explain everything sight inside. In this place you will get an in-depth knowledge of Buddhist Philosophy, Buddhist culture and traditions of Sri Lanka.

Sri Ponnambalam Vanesar Kovil

This is the second stop of the tour. After completing the Buddhist temple we will come to this Hindu temple by Tuk-tuks. On the way you can see the real Colombo and people's way of life very closely. After reaching to the hindu temple, our guide will take you to the inside. He will guide through out every level of the temple and explain you everything. This is the place where we will give you in-depth knowledge of Hinduism and its traditions in Sri Lanka.

Dani is an excellent guide. He made our 12 day tour of Sri Lanka a very special trip. He is extremely knowledgeable, he is interesting but also funny & friendly. You could not wish for a better guide!

Danny made every day of this tour a highlight both with his knowledge of Sri Lankan culture, customs, history, architecture, religion but also ensuring we had a daily experience from tasting the unique fruits/vegetables and local village and festive foods, visiting wet markets to understanding the countries gems and everything in between. He understands Australian humour and is very adaptable in western culture but remains true to his own culture. His wicked sense of humour kept us laughing and his relaxed personality and patience with challenges along the way was remarkable. I'm not sure he will continue with my motto "if you are on time, you are late" but it did keep our small tour on time all the time. Thanks Danny
