The tour was very professionally and efficiently run! our tour guide ‘Patty’ was worth her weight in gold! We managed to cram in what would have been impossible without a tour. If you want to enjoy a fast passed couple of hours with maximum fun packed in this tour is for you. We were with a 5 year old and 8 year old who really enjoyed the experience.

The tour was great with good content and a great guide,Gang. My only Complaint would be was that th Mini Bus was a bit crowded and leg room was no the best. We had to travel at least 2 hours there and back and it got a bit cramped.

The markets themselves were a great experience....though I would have liked longer in the railway market. No time really to browse or buy anything. The biggest problem for me was the transport to the railway. The mini bus was cramped and hot. We were sat at the back, over the wheel arch so very little leg room and it was HOT! You cannot see out of the window without ducking down (I'm 5'8, maybe not an issue if you were 5'2). To be fair....I complained en route by email and at the comfort break, they moved us to a bigger bus from the same company....just luck that they had spare seats. I could not have done the return 2 hour journey on the original mini bus. It was too small for the number of people, not air conditioned and the back row is totally unsuitable.

Fantastic trip and great value for money. We started the day at Maeklong Railway Market where we got to experience entering the market on the train and seeing the market folded up. We then had 20 mins to look around before heading back to meet our guide and watch the market fold back up so the train could leave. Fascinating! My only criticism is that we barely had any time to look around the market so having more time here would be better. Then off to the floating market which was great to look at. A short bit of free time before getting in a boat and going round the market. There were a few things I liked but the driver seemed to stop at the boats no one was interested in and glide past the ones we were. Overall though, this was a brilliant day trip and not to be missed!

Both rail & floating market are must visits IMO. Both have become very touristy and theatrical, far from their original purpose, but still great to see. Our mini bus driver wasn't great - true of many drivers own Thailand from our experience. The guide didn't offer much insight, mainly ensured we stayed on track time wise and could have provided far more insight than he did. Overall we loved seeing the chaos of the markets and the places they had established themselves.
