This tour will bring you to the Maeklong Railway Market (umbrella pulldown market) by local train and then continue to visit Damnoensaduak Floating Market. This is often considered the most famous floating market in Thailand.

Recommend : The early morning 6.00 am and 6.30 am will be better option for less tourist and more time in both market.

Mae Klong Railway Market (Hoop Rom Market)

We will take a train from local train station to the market and will let your spend time here until the train leaving the station to go back ( we not go back with train ) the highlight will be the view from the train when your arrive.

It was amazing seeing the operation of the train and railway market. It was scary yet very smoothly done. The tour lady was exceptionally professional. She gave historical information in detail about the places with sense of humor making the tour so enjoyable. Well done. What an experience!

The guide was helpful and took us to the touristy spots in both the markets. He made sure everyone understands the agenda and was accounting for everyone. I really liked both the markets as they are different from the standard markets in Asia.

So amazing Sara is the best. She went above and beyond what she was supposed to do. She constantly took photos of us to capture memories that we may not have captured ourselves on top of that She explained all of the history in proper English to us. She taught us how to negotiate which is very very important givin that we are foreigners she was looking out for us. It was amazing to get the inside scoop from Sara herself .

Sara did a fantastic job leading our group. She was well informed and very interesting. Everything was well organized. This is also a good tour for solo as she made everyone feel so welcome and it was a small group. From the train ride to the market to the floating market this was a wonderful day.

Picked up from our hotel by Phu and driver Ng. Driven to a the railway station with a stop on the way. Phu gave tips along the way, including how and where to barter, what to buy and where, how to stay safe(which isn't an issue) and information along the way. We were in a bus of 10 people but we're able to do our own think on the trips. When you get to the railway station you board a train and enter the market that way. Then you walk through the market along the tracks (not smooth if you have difficulty walking) and can buy what you want. There is less bartering here and prices are lower. The bus picks you up at the end of the track and takes you on to the floating market, where we were allocated boats. Here the prices were more expensive but we barterd things down in one case by 75%. The experience was fantastic and the weather great. Then we were taken back to a local station where they need to drop you off, as taking everyone to their hotels in rush hour wouldn't work. We took a short train back to near our hotel, but taxis and walking were options.
