Welcome to a fascinating world!

Scuba diving offers unique sensations that no other sport on the planet can give. Discover Scuba Diving is a half day program for beginners!

You will start this program from the moment you decide to book! after booking you will receive a link for the eLearning product. This product contains all the information you need about the program.

Your PADI instructors will help you to become familiar with your scuba gear and get ready for your first breath underwater.

Before you know it you will be in our pool practicing a few simple skills and into the sea you go to enjoy your first open water dive.

Your first dive will be at our training dive site Roman Wall. It is safe and easy, at a maximum depth of 6m with added features for your comfort such as a sloping descent line to the bottom. This is an underwater playground for all divers, find yourself surrounded by Roman Amphorae, old anchors and beautiful marine life such as octopus and green turtles.

What To Expect

Diving cannot be done less than 24 hours before a flight. All participants must be able to swim confidently. Join us for our 3 part experience- briefing, skills and open water dive! - The briefing includes all the information you need to know for a great dive. Including equalizing, hand signals and the skills which you will be doing and how your equipment works. - Jump in the pool and take your first breath underwater! Practice using the equipment and conquer the basic skills. Dive down to the deep end of our training pool to practice swimming around. - Head to our training dive site The Roman Wall and experience the amazing underwater world. Just a short walk from our dive centre this shore dive is the perfect place for beginner divers. Discover ancient Roman Amphorae, lost anchors and possibly green sea turtles (April-October)! Once your booking is confirmed you will receive a link from our team, this link allows you to access the Discover Scuba Diving eLearning product. (This must be complete prior to the activity!) After the dive your instructor will help you to fill in your first dive in the digital logbook! Go Pros and underwater camera are not allowed for safety reason.

Grear experience and amazing instructor Kris,who was both supportive and firm, very knowledgeable and positive. The experience both the initial practice in the swimming-pool and the proper dive in the sea was very well-organized and conducted with caution and attention to details. Kris' response to any problems were immediate and his calm manner had positive effect on others. Kris was very patient with my 11-year old daughter when she struggled at some point in the sea and had adjusted the pace and the activity. Thank you, Kris! You've been amazing and we'll always cherish the memories of our first underwater experience in your company! Highly recommend this experience to everybody!

Amazing day! Super professional and we’re on point with the training. We felt very secure and confident going into the sea. Asher (spelt Asia I think) was incredibly patient with us and really helpful with all our questions. She had good banter and the camera man did some amazing work of getting good snapshots too. Thank you so much!!

I had a solo dive with Chris (nearly off-season) and he was a great instructor. The water wasn't too cold, and 30 minutes long enough for most beginners.

Cydive looked after our family during a short holiday, with one of us getting Open Water certified, and the rest of us recreationally diving. The welcoming, well laid out centre is located conveniently in Paphos, within easy reach of some great sites: wrecks, caves and reefs full of life. The staff are top notch - professional, calm and friendly, with nothing too much trouble. I’d give them six stars if I could, and I’d hope to come back again for more exploring of the beautiful Cypriot seascapes.

We, a group of 12 17 year old divers, had an incredible experience with CyDive, in order to share underwater eco discovery with ISOP students. Asha, Pascal and their team welcomed us warmly and had us understand the stakes of sea preservation, scientific research and pleasure. Our school project on sustainability and sports will build green Europe of Education thanks Erasmus+.

Myself and my partner visited last year and did a the training. Unfortunately we did not get qualified within the year, but we loved scuba diving so much last year we decided to go for the training again! We had a blast just as much as we did the first time. This time we had time to go on another dive which we could do since completing the training. This time we did a boat dive! I was very nervous as there was a lot of experienced divers, but our dive-masters looked after us as new divers and we stuck to the simple stuff, which I was very happy with. Overall, Cydive is the best place to go diving in Cyprus! They take care of you like one of their own. My partner and I are definitely going for the qualification and (hopefully!) doing our referral dives here in the future. Thank you Cydive!
