Excellent value for the tour, except when arrival at the office prior to entry for jetboat ride to village everyone had to pay $30 Fiji per person for petrol tax. Not informed of this on booking or confirmation. So many people had not bought cash or card. Vinnie the boat driver was very informative on village life and culture. felt completely safe with her excellent driving of the boat Highly recommend!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our boat trip and village visit. Our boat captain Fini was good. She gave us interesting facts along the way and was a skillful driver. We were warmly welcomed at the village, the karva ceremony and lunch were a cultural experience. Definitely recommend

Absolutely brilliant adventure. Beyond our expectations. If you are thinking of taking gifts to the village be wise with gifts. On our tour I was appalled by the massive amount of lollies given. The families do not need poisoning with sugar. Bring useful gifts stationery, clothes, shoes not processed food.

Absolutely incredible experience and a must do in Fiji! It is an amazing way to understand the culture and way of living in the villages. Our guide Laps was so informative, fun and safe throughout the whole experience. This tour exceeded my expectations!

The entire experience was amazing. The jetboat is fun and safe, but our guide, Freddy stopped along the river at three places to describe the history of the river, and his personal experience of growing up in a nearby village before electricity, not so long ago. He was our guide when we arrived at the village to meet the chief and his elders, and many villagers. We presented cassava roots as a gift, we were offered blessings and songs and kava. The villagers prepared a nice lunch using local dishes. An unforgettable and moving experience. If you want to have an authentic village experience, this is the way to do it.

This is definitely a highlight of any trip to Fiji. We were picked up at 8am from our hotel. Zac, our driver was very entertaining and knowledgeable as well as helpful. We stopped in town to shop for a bit. You can purchase gifts for the people in the village or give money at the end of the tour which is very nice since they open their village to you and treat you like honored guests. The villages are rustic so be prepared. You can't wear hats or sunglasses in the village, wear sunscreen and shoes with good traction as their is not a dock for the boat at the village. We basically climbed a dirt cliff without much to hold onto. The staff and locals are there to help. Be prepared to take off your shoes when you enter the chiefs hut and the community hall, sit on the floor though chairs were provided for those with mobility issues, participate in the cava ceremony and dances. It's an unforgettable experience and jet boat trip back was a blast. Captain Lap was great!
