What To Expect

Snow View Rafting is a unique winter activity where you can enjoy rafting 2km down river while enjoying the snowy scenery on a raft boat. The exciting rafting experience and the breath taking snow view from the river will surely make your trip to Hokkaido special and memorable! You can also land on the riverbank along the way to take photos and videos and enjoy playing in the snow! Tea time in the great outdoors is a blissful moment. We will land on the riverbank on the way and provide hot drink and snacks. You will be guided by a experienced guide in a small group, so you can participate in this tour with peace of mind! Snow sliding down a snow slope on a boat at the starting point may not be available due to the snow and slope conditions on the day of the tour. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. The tour will be run minimum from 3 participants, but it available to run with paying for 3 peoples price when you are 2 people.

Fantastic trip! Would definitely recommend. Basant, Prem & Michiyo were all wonderful, friendly, entertaining and professional. We always felt 100% safe. A lovely change for a winter activity off the slopes. Absolutely amazing photos too! The slide into the water was a lot of fun. But be careful - Basant throws a mean snowball!

Thank you Adventure Smile for a great time rafting the Shiribetsu River. The snowy views were beautiful and definitely go down the slope on the raft at the start of the ride!

One of the BEST things we did while staying in Kutchan, Hokkaido. Our guide Basant (Best guide ever) picked us up from our accommodations that morning. We mentioned that we left our helmets and goggles in our car down the road so he made a drive out the way for us to pick those up (something to note if you're taking the snow view rafting). We soon met Michiyo (and Walnut 🐕) who had been in constant communication with me during our planning period to ensure all went smoothly. She is the sweetest person and you'll love getting to know her. From there we were quickly setup with everything we needed to stay warm and DRY on our journey (make sure to wear thermals, light sweater, warm socks, and maybe a balaclava. they have you covered on everything else). Once clothed, you jump in the van and get the run down from Basant on safety protocol and what to expect on the river. Solid information sprinkled with light comedy to get your day started. When you get to the river, the rest is what you make it. The views are amazingly scenic, the riding is a fun step away from going skiing every day, and the memories made will last forever. ESPECIALLY if you pay for the photos that Basant and Michiyo take while you're on the journey. Listen to me when I say, BUY THE PHOTOS. They are a deal in comparison to what they are offering and the quality and effort that they put in to the photos and videos make it worth every yen. All in all, we had an unforgettable time and will absolutely be back for another adventure.

fantastic non skiing experience. Michiyo and her crew made it safe, warm and totally fun experience. My daughter and wife never felt in any danger in the water and it was a superb way to spend a day out from skiing. would recommend it to anyone. Tour guide is super friendly and made it a really fun time. Cant recommend this enuf.

We booked the snow view rafting tour and snowshoeing tour with Adventure Smile and had an amazing time ! The scenery was incredible ! Our guide Basant was really fun, professional and knowledgeable and gave us an insight of the local culture and history. If you’re in Niseko you have to book the tours, it really made our holidays . We will definitely be back on our next trip to Niseko. Ourdia and Daniel

Basant was a wonderful guide who provided a great experience. We enjoyed the water rafting with him so much we booked to go sightseeing with him the following day. The photos we received were great and well worth ordering. Highly, highly recommend. Water rafting itself was a wonderful experience. So beautiful and we stayed toasty warm in the dry suits.

Absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, every moment was filled with excitement and joy. Our tour guides Basant and Michiyo were truly exceptional and made the entire rafting adventure unforgettable. The rafting itself was an exhilarating yet safe experience, with breathtaking views of the surrounding snow-capped mountains. If you’re afraid of the cold or getting wet, fret not. Adventure Smile has you covered with complete gear including a dry suit, helmet, and boots, ensuring you stay warm and dry as long as you wear thermals and winter wear underneath. The convenience of hotel pick-up and drop-off made the experience even more enjoyable, eliminating any stress about transportation. Although we couldn't bring our phones on the raft (for obvious reasons), there’s a photo and video service for a small additional fee. Trust me, it was worth every penny! The memories they captured will last a lifetime. If you're looking for an unforgettable adventure in Niseko, I highly recommend Snow View Rafting at Aventure Smile! 😊❄️☃️🏔️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Absolutely the highlight of our niseko trip and magical place to be ❤️ Basan & his wife were amazing host & guide that had brought us through the whole awesome snow rafting tour. They are very knowledgeable & enthusiastic about nature & made really good conversation. The scenery is breath taking & only able to describe with photos taken by Basan, absolutely awed by the purity & calmness of the snow scape. Highly recommended for family as the river is calm & suitable for all ages. Thanks again for the fantastic memories for many years to come ❤️
