This excursion will take you out of the beaten path with the best boat for watching the Teahupoo waves and an experienced captain / guide.
You will visit the part of Tahiti which has no road access, reachable only by boat.
On our way to the South, we will make a few stops including :
•wave watching
•short walk for visiting on land
•river swimming
•snorkeling

What To Expect
Teahupoo
Meet your guide/captain at the marina of teahupoo where some cofee and bakeries will be served before leaving the marina.
Teahupoo
First stop will be the famous Teahupoo reefbreak where you will be able to watch the waves and surfers. In the safety of the channel, your experience captain will explain you all you need to know about this special place.

5.00Discovery of the wildest and most natural part of the island 😁 From the great surf wave of Teahupoo to the waterfalls, basins and caves! We did some snorkeling, hiking, swimming, boat rides and a nice barbecue. And above all a ton of smiles, kindness and humor from the three crew members: Our guide Tao who is as captivating as he is full of charm, our Captain, Chef and eel charmer Robert and his adorable little dog Téquila!

5.00Even though the weather only allowed for the half-day tour instead of the full-day, it was still an unforgettable experience. Watching the surfers at the world-famous Teahupoo wave and taking in the raw beauty of Tahiti Iti was truly special. Haunui is a fantastic captain and guide – knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. I felt very well taken care of and learned a lot along the way. Highly recommend!

5.00This was our first excursion during our vacation. The directions to the launch were good; there is a small parking fee (500 pfx). The boat is operated by a family and their island hospitality was great- the banana pancakes, fruits, and juices were tasty. First stop was snorkeling on one of the coral mounts- really nice 30 ft drop off to get a bit of a wall. Next was to Teahupo’o, got to see some good rides. The tour went all the way past the last house and the view of the peaks and valleys were spectacular! We stopped at the hiking cabin and went up a river. You can get out and wade here. Fruits, juices, and spiked punch was served. It was just a lovely trip and such a great way to kick off our trip.

We were lucky to experience the powerful waves of Teahupoo breaking perfectly, and the tour of the Tahiti Peninsula with lunch on the river was magical! Thank you for a perfect tour and an awesome Tahitian experience. We can't wait to return!

5.00Day with super friendly friends, good atmosphere with our guides, visit the wave of Teahupoo safe with the Pilot! Several spots for swimming (sea/river), nice little hike from 7 to 77 years, lunch on the nice boat, bbq meal, papaya, swimming again! I recommend +++

5.00An excursion a bit ruined by the very bad weather that day. However, we were able to appreciate the kindness of our service providers who did everything to introduce us to the mythical wave of Teahupo'o and its surroundings. We even saw the famous whale in the field of the Judges Tower. Exceptional to see in the same place this whale whose photo toured the world during the surfing events of the Olympic Games.
