I went to Xianggong Hill and the tea plantation in the morning. The guide, David, waited to pick me up from the hotel even though there was an error on my side and was very helpful and nice. He provided lots of useful information about the places we visited. We stopped for pictures and to take a closer look to different things that caught my attention along the way. David was a very good company and made my day beautiful. At the tea plantation we picked up our own tea and tasted a variety of teas. This was such a pleasant experience!

We enjoyed the half-day tour to the Tea Plantation & Xianggong Hill in Yangshuo County very much. Our guide Daniel took us on a scenic drive in the hills and shared his deep knowledge about the area, tea and various other topics. We learned and saw a lot and had a great hands on experience at the tea plantation making our own green tea from scratch. Daniel is an amazing photographer, so besides our own tea we also have some fun pictures as memories to take home. We can all highly recommend him! Thank you Daniel :)

Had an excellent day with Daniel! The tea plantation was beautiful and the tea ceremony very interesting. This was one of the highlights of my two week trip to China.

Daniel arranged a bespoke tour to visit Xianggong mountain and then the tea plantation. We were a small group of Scottish people and New Zealanders. He arranged everything and had a comfortable, air conditioned vehicle to take us around. The views from the mountain are absolutely stunning. The visit to the tea plantation was brilliant! Daniel has really good English and had a friendly approach. Thanks for a great day!

Anna took very good care of me. She was caring, respectful and fun. We had a wonderful time biking along the Yulong River and seeing the sights. She was an outstanding guide and I would recommend her as a guide. She spoke very good English. We had a great day together.

Great experience from the first moment to the last. Tour guide Daniel and Anna assisted in picking up and dropping off and was punctual throughout. Cycling through the scenic town and country side of Yangshuo was breathe taking. Moon hill hike was worth the climb with stunning views at the top and Gold caves were majestic. Overall a fantastic experience that I would recommend to everyone.

Cycling the countryside is a great way to see Yangshuo. It's so beautiful scenery and peaceful that the quality of the guide does not matter as you're taking a history lesson, at least not for me - that's not why I wanted this tour. It is about being active and being outside. And you'll definitely get that. You'll see Yangshuo and it's beauty in a fantastic way. A guide is useful of you do not speak Chinese. I am a solo Western traveler and was the only person on this tour. Regarding this specific tour company: George was a good guide. He has good English, is generally friendly, and will share lots of historic facts about China with you. I would've given this tour a 4-star review if it wasn't for two things you should be aware of, both of which were off putting for me. 1) The guide may have you pay for his lunch and he will order the overly expensive, too large portion (so he can take home the leftovers) that will cost you triple of what you would pay for a meal by yourself. Details: At the end of our hike, George took me to the street restaurant right next to Moon Hill. I asked him what he recommends and he said the chicken. He ordered for us. The average entree with a drink there would normally cost ~50rmb, which is already overpriced for Yangshuo. I was willing to pay for the George's meal as a gesture of gratitude, but when I realized he intentionally ordered the largest portion of the most expensive dish, I was not happy. It's the principle of what he did and is not about the money. The bill came out to 185rmb and when I asked the guide if we are splitting the bill, the waitress quickly interrupted and said, "you pay for your guide. Yes?" So I felt obligated. It felt like a prearranged agreement between them. I do not speak Chinese so I do not know what they talked about. 2) I was the only person on this tour, and despite having arranged a meeting time that was still in acordance with the set itinerary, the owner, Daniel felt the need to threaten leaving me behind. Details: this tour says the hotel pickup is 8:30am, 8:40-8:50 you try out bikes, and at 9am, you leave West Street and START the actual tour. That morning, I was on the mountain for the sunrise tour, and I had WeChat with Daniel at 7:15am to find out how many other people would be on the tour. He said it was only me. So I asked if I could skip the hotel pickup and I would have someone drop me off at West Street at 8:50am. He said sure, it was only me. On the way back to West Street from the mountain, my driver and I were delayed by a stopped dump truck blocking the way and so I messaged Daniel to let him know that it may be closer to 9am. The time I notified him was 8:20am. He promptly tells me that the tour starts at 8:30 and that they cannot wait for me if there are others. What I don't understand is that there was no need for him to threaten that since it was ONLY ME and I was arriving in time with the set schedule written in this tour summary. I was not delaying them and there was no one else on the tour to begin with. And if someone did decide to join within the 10 mins, would they truly have left me behind if I showed up a few mins later than what Daniel and I agreed to earlier that morning?! When I met the guide at 8:57, he asked for us to wait since it was still raining. We didn't leave until after 9:15. It was nice that Daniel agreed to let me meet them directly at West Street. But it's also important to point out that they didn't have to pick me up and I was still on schedule, their posted timeline. His responses were unnecessary and off putting.
