What To Expect
The Pyramids Of Giza
Meet your personal guide in your hotel lobby at 8:00 am for the short drive out of Cairo to the desert at Giza, part of the legendary Sahara Desert. Here you'll admire the three mighty pyramids silhouetted against the sand, beginning with the Great Pyramid, built by the pharaoh Khufu over 3,500 years ago. Your guide will explain the stories behind this and the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, including how they were constructed and how they looked in ancient times, and take you out into the desert for photo opportunities. Next, you'll descend to admire the Sphinx, the giant half-human, half-lion monument that's an icon of Egypt. Finally, you'll explore an Ancient Egyptian temple, the Valley Temple, most likely built by Khafre, in the days when the River Nile flowed past Giza and this desert gorge was fertile valley. You'll drive back to your hotel

5.00Sam was outstanding as a guide. Knowledgeable, adaptable and passionate about his subject expertise, Sam guided us through the pyramid complex with information that we had not seen in other guides. Sam felt like a friend from the start and gave us all the relevant details (pick up time, driver and car details) that we needed to make our trip educational but safe. If you are looking for an educational tour from a Egyptology student enthusiastic about his subject, that bypasses all the usual tour guide patter (and unwanted purchase opportunities from their friends) we would recommend Sam in a heartbeat.

5.00I would definitely recommend this tour! Everything was smooth from pickup to drop-off. We were picked up on time and we felt safe and well taken care of. Our guide was great! He was knowledgeable, and made the whole experience really enjoyable. He also knew all of the best spots to take photos! Overall, we had a great experience touring the Giza Pyramids

5.00My 13 year old daughter and I (female) were met by our guide Amir and driver in the morning for a pick up at the hotel. It was an amazing tour which included all the highlights of pyramid's and the Sphinx. On the spot, we decided to go for a camel ride for a fixed fee of 1000 egp which was exciting. On top of the highlights and the camel ride, we were so lucky with our guide Amir who was kind, trustworthy, helpful and very knowledgeable. Overall, an amazing experience.
