Borrow a camera with tele-lens from us, or use your own mobile or camera, and follow our local Sami photo guides to experience moose and other arctic animals. Our guides were born in the area and have been out in nature since childhood. We share our knowledge of photography, nature and Sami life to give you a full experience of being part of our area. After the trip, you have practiced using the camera or your own mobile phone, gained more knowledge about the Arctic nature and animals and learned about the Sami people.

What To Expect

We drive by car, in the direction of the day. When we stop the guide helps you get acquainted with the camera. We practice photography in order to be well prepared to take good pictures of landscape, animals and plants during the tour. We choose our themes depending on the weather and Sami eight seasons and tell Sami knowledge about nature and animals. We can never guarantee you pictures of, for example, wild animals, but we will search for good nature sceneries, sneak up on arctic animals like moose, reindeer and birds and search for opportunities to photograph what is special for the season. Also the guide will tell about the area. The tour ends with a cup of coffee or tea and a cake.

My wife Abby and I had an amazing experience with Anette, going from the Ice Hotel where it was snowy and cloudy to a perfect spot just 30 minutes away where the skies opened up and we saw an amazing display of northern lights, and was even treated to the afterglow of a SpaceX launch that night this past March 2025. Then 2 days later we had a personal experience with Anette we spent the morning with her and she showed us how the Sami people lived and survived on this land, foraging berries, catching wild animals, even the different types of snow and the kinds of wood to look for to start a fire. Working with Anette and her company was one of the highlights of our trip!

Ylva and Erika were the perfect guides on our tour in the beautiful landscape of Kirunas neighborhood. Although we did not see other animals but the sweetest little birds, it was great to experience forests, rivers and views of mountains. So nice with fire and fika before we drove back again. A clear recommendation.

Annette was amazing and took us to some great spots for nature photography and we saw a couple moose! Our favorite part was the little hike out onto the frozen river to build a fire and have a snack. Thank you for an amazing day!

Anetta was able to find us birds, moose and reindeer to photograph. She also took us to a stunning frozen river where we hiked and had a fire and fika. Her knowledge and experience was impressive and we got to know a little about her Sami culture and way of life. Excellent!

Our guide was a very nice woman who also showed that she knows about the forests and the behavior of the animals. We were able to photograph some birds and also saw three moose. You have to be lucky to see the animals (they are just wildlife). In my opinion, however, the landscape is enough to make this tour.
