What To Expect
Berkeley Memorial
The Berkeley Memorial was erected in 1883 and was for a long time the only public memorial commemorating an individual in St. Kitts. It was dedicated to the memory of Thomas Berkeley Hardtman Berkeley, a legislator and owner of the estates called Fountain, Greenland, Greenhill, Ottleys, Shadwell and Stone Fort.
Immaculate Conception Co-Cathedral Catholic Church
CO-CATHEDRAL OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION is an ornate church constructed out of grey stone and located on the eastern side of Independence Square. In the early years of the French occupation of St. Kitts, the Jesuits had build a Roman Catholic Church and dedicated it to Our Lady. Notre Dame was burned in 1706 during the Anglo-French war and rebuilt later as St. Georges Anglican Church. The catholic congregation in St. Kitts diminished drastically in the years following the Treaty of Utrecht.

4.00The tour was great. Spent an ample amount of time at several spots. We enjoyed seeing the Island away from the city. However our tour guide decided to give us a lecture on global warming and the lack of funding for the island from major countries. Very political rant. Not necessary to hear when on vacation.

4.00The tour was great and full of history. The tour guide knew everything about St. Kitts and encouraged all questions. For my wife and I, the tour guide spoke good english but the accent prevented us from understanding much of what he said.

5.00By far one of the best excursions around. We spent more the day before for a couple hours on a double decker bus with no air and two stops. This tour was in an air conditioned van and Annie is wonderful. She brings some much knowledge mixed in with the best personality ever. She is funny, engaging and compassionate. The stops were amazing and the photo opportunities were magnificent. Don't hesitate booking with Annie.
