What To Expect
Baixa de Lisboa
The Baixa de Lisboa, also known as Baixa Pombalina, is the heart of the city and one of its most iconic neighborhoods. After the earthquake of 1755, it was completely rebuilt with an innovative urban plan, led by the Marquis de Pombal. The streets are wide, straight and organized in the form of a grid, surrounded by buildings with neoclassical architecture. During the tuk-tuk tour, you will be able to admire places like the Rossio, with its famous cafes and wavewalk, the Piazza da Figueira and the grandiose Piazza do Comércio, facing the Tejo River. This area is ideal for feeling the true spirit of Lisbon – between monuments, historic facades, traditional shops and the lively life of the streets. It is also here that many Lisbonais and visitors cross daily. The Baixa is the perfect starting point to get to know the city, with fascinating stories, unique landscapes and an energy that blends tradition and modernity.
Igreja de Santa Maria Maior
The Lisbon Cathedral, also known as the Church of Santa Maria Maior, is the oldest cathedral in the city, built in the 12th century after the reconquest of Lisbon by the Moors. With its imposing Romanesque-style facade and its two fortified towers, it is one of the most remarkable monuments of the capital. Over the centuries, the See was being modified and restored, gaining elements of Gothic, Baroque and Neoclassical style. He survived several earthquakes, including the devastating 1755 earthquake, remaining a symbol of faith and resistance. In its interior, the central ship, the altar-mor and the cloister stand out, where archaeological vestiges from earlier eras, including Roman and Visigothic, were discovered. Visiting the Se is to immerse yourself in the history of Lisbon and feel the spirituality that travels through centuries. An essential point on any city tour.

5.00Thorough tour of Lisbon's beautiful and historic sites. Very informational. David was an excellent guide, drove safely, recommended a good restaurant for lunch, good English speaking skills and proud of his country. We recommend booking the 4 hour tour. It allowed us to see more things and move at a slower pace to accommodate my partner’s back. He did not rush us at all, even when our lunch took much longer than expected.

5.00We had a wonderful tuk-tuk tour with Catherine and can highly recommend her! She is a very warm and friendly person with a great amount of knowledge. She explained everything clearly and even translated into German for us, which we really appreciated. In the morning, she guided us for about 1.5 hours, and in the afternoon we had another tour of a bit more than 2 hours. Although the tours were slightly longer than planned, she never rushed us or seemed stressed. Instead, she gave us all the time we needed to enjoy the experience. She also picked us up from our hotel and dropped us off again, which made everything very convenient. It was truly a top experience, and my mother enjoyed it just as much as I did.
