If you don’t have a car and want to see some of the Lake District of Salzburg this is an excellent tour . Hallstatt is absolutely spectacular.. Bus ride is 2.5 hrs each way & you get about 2 hours there . We were on the right side of the bus and all the views are on the left - both directions , so I’d suggest you get on the left side of the bus if you do this tour.

Panorama of the route to Hallstat is amazing. The lake in the centre is pretty large and beautiful.This may be compared to lake Bled of Slovenia

Susie was a great tour guide. Halstatt is a beautiful town to walk around for a couple hours. Went up to the Skywalk against her advice (rainy day) and couldn't see anything from the top - I think it'd be the highlight of the trip on a clear day. She recommended trying Kaiserschmarrn (not in Halstatt), and it was spectacular. As a bonus, if you go on Thursday, show up a little early because the ticket office is in the middle of a great farmer's market.

Hallstatt is worth the trip! The Beauty is Breathtaking. Our driver was fantastic thru all the winding roads. Our Tour guide was fabulous! He had such a great sense of humor & the history/information about Salzburg/Hallstatt he shared was phenomenal! The only thing I would say is- next time I would book a full day trip
