  Apart from long ride from Hanoi the rest was fantastic. Cruise tour, swimming and hiking were the best. Next time I will choose speed boat.

  We recommend this tour very highly. Jim was our tour guide, and he was great. He was very knowledgeable and was able to give us great information on the history and culture of Vietnam. He also answered all of our questions, and I felt like we all learnt so much more about life in Vietnam. The tour itself was great. Jim suggested a change because of the crowds in Hanoi in the lead up to Independence Day, so we didn't go in to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Instead, we went to the B52 Museum, which was fascinating. Train Street was a highlight, as was the Hidden Gem cafe at the end. We had our first egg coffees, which were like a hot tiramisu. The tour was great, but we came away with a whole heap of recommendations from Jim. We tried out one of the local restaurants he suggested last night and it was great!

  Our first day in Hanoi and what a great experience! Everything start to finish was amazing! Our guide Johnny was the best guide we could have ever asked for. He is so knowledgeable and explains all the history about each stop. His knowledge, kindness and willingess to answer anything that he could really made the tour! The hidden gem Cafe was definitely an experience and something we wouldn't have found without a guide and really hit off the trip to a great start, as we went on the tour didn't disappoint. Seeing the wreck and train drive past was another highlight. Cant recommend this tour enough - we've travelled a fair amount and done a large amount of tours & this was a highlight especially with Johnny as our guide!

  I highly recommend this tour because it covers Hanoi’s main attractions while providing a glimpse into the local culture and daily life. Our tour guide, Chris, was an exceptional storyteller. At the Temple of Literature, he shared his own story to illustrated the importance of education to the Vietnamese people.Chris also took us deep into local streets, showing us the houses of local residents—something we would never have discovered on our own. One of the most practical tips he shared was how to confidently cross the busy streets of Hanoi. By the end of the tour, we were able to navigate through motorbikes and cars like pros! Overall it was an unforgettable experience.

  Hanoi Hidden Gens & Highlights half day tour by the Backstreet Tour company was a great tour. We had booked a private tour by Limo and we had a wonderful experience. The tour covered some true hidden gems such as the old bridge, a hidden gem cafe and highlights like the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum and the Temple of Literature. We also drove around the Westlake area and the French Quarter. However, what made the tour so interesting was our outstanding guide Johnny who was a font of knowledge and gave us depth of information about the history & culture of Vietnam, the Temple of Literature and the life of Ho Chi Minh. This gave us a very new perspective of the country and the people. Johnny’s passion and his ability to plan and organize, made this tour memorable.
