I joined him for a walking tour around the Old Quarter, and later ended up doing a private 1:1 tour through some of Hanoi’s more unexplored neighbourhoods. Both tours were extremely high quality and clearly tailored to what I wanted to see. Chris’s personal stories and insights made the experience feel authentic, relatable, and refreshingly unique. It also helps that he has travelled extensively around the world, which allows him to compare and contrast cultures in a really thoughtful way. He comes with my highest recommendation — without a doubt, Chris is the best guide in Hanoi.

5.00We did the walking French quarter tour with Chris and it was spectacular! Chris is a tour guide/chef and extremely knowledgeable of this city and food culture. He added some touches of his own to the tour with a true egg coffee making demonstration and some behind the scenes local sites. If we had had more time, we would have done the Hanoi walking food tour with him. All that to say, this tour is highly recommended. Thank you chris

5.00Chris was so knowledgeable and kind. He had expert knowledge of Vietnam’s history and took us through various streets and the major marketplace. He treated us with a surprise demonstration of his recipe for egg coffee, salt coffee, and hot chocolate and was very accommodating for our diet restrictions. So delicious! This walking tour is a must, especially with Chris!
