Muggles welcome! Go inside New College and the Bodleian Library on a magical adventure into the medieval buildings of Oxford University. With a fun Oxford student guide, complete with a quiz, the odd prop, and terrible jokes and puns! Suitable for devout Harry Potter fans, along with those publicly unwilling to admit their devotion, and those with no prior interest but looking for a fun way to explore! The tour includes other famous books such as Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, the Hobbit, and Lord of the Rings - along with the history of Oxford University.
Wheelchair accessible
Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
Public transportation options are available nearby
Specialized infant seats are available
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
During peak season (June–August), access to the Divinity School is extremely limited due to frequent closures and high demand, and may not be included in the tour. While some companies may claim otherwise, we prefer to be honest upfront rather than risk disappointment on the day.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
Blackwell's Bookshop
Not quite Flourish and Blotts but as close as a muggle bookshop can be. Blackwells is the dream of every Ravenclaw, holding approximately holding 250,000 volumes, which translates to 3 miles of books! This is even more impressive knowing that their first store measured only 12 feet square, and held just 700 used books. Don't forget to have a look at the roof of the building from a distance. Don't worry the stone figure you'll see on top isn't someone petrified. It is a statue by Antony Gormley; one of a series of sculptures called “Another Time II”.
Bodleian Library
One of the largest libraries, with multiple buildings spread across Oxford. Home to archaic medieval books on spells and wizards! Viewed from several locations externally - see Divinity for our entrance to Bodleian.

really beautiful tour around oxford, particularly in new college, around radcliffe camera and some libraries. an outdoor tour (you need separate tickets to go inside places) it accompanies those other locations well and you get a mix of oxford university history overview and harry potter facts from filming locations and the authors inspiration around oxford. HIGHLT recommend!! Valentine was lovely and knowledgeable.

It is a good walking tour experience with Sue. She is very good tour guide and she knows all about Oxford and Harry Potter. She is encouraging everyone to participate in a small Harry Potter quizzes. Sue is highly recommended.

We absolutely lived the experience. I found our tour guide incredibly knowledgeable about the entire Oxford area and all the “sub colleges” and their individual histories. She was great, and I apologize for forgetting her name. She was an Oxford grad, a history and Harry Potter wizard. Highly recommend this for both the Potter connection and the deep historical context.

I spent a summer long ago as an Oxford-New College student and absolutely loved it. This walking tour, which ended at my old college, was not only fun and educational, but it reminded of my special time at the University of Oxford. I especially appreciated “V” as the tourguide because she is energetic, pleasant, and knowledgeable. I learned quite a bit and was, once again, very grateful for the opportunity to enjoy such a wonderful place. Kudos to a great guide. Her enthusiasm is infectious and inspiring.

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour! We arrived at the information centre and the tour had just started, but the guy got us on the tour just in time. Our group gave us both house scarves which was super kind. Valentine is super lovely and knowledgeable, a great walking tour guide. Thank you so much, we highly recommend!
