Muggles welcome! Go inside New College and the Bodleian Library on a magical adventure into the medieval buildings of Oxford University. With a fun Oxford student guide, complete with a quiz, the odd prop, and terrible jokes and puns! Suitable for devout Harry Potter fans, along with those publicly unwilling to admit their devotion, and those with no prior interest but looking for a fun way to explore! The tour includes other famous books such as Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, the Hobbit, and Lord of the Rings - along with the history of Oxford University.
Wheelchair accessible
Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
Public transportation options are available nearby
Specialized infant seats are available
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
During peak season (June–August), access to the Divinity School is extremely limited due to frequent closures and high demand, and may not be included in the tour. While some companies may claim otherwise, we prefer to be honest upfront rather than risk disappointment on the day.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
Blackwell's Bookshop
Not quite Flourish and Blotts but as close as a muggle bookshop can be. Blackwells is the dream of every Ravenclaw, holding approximately holding 250,000 volumes, which translates to 3 miles of books! This is even more impressive knowing that their first store measured only 12 feet square, and held just 700 used books. Don't forget to have a look at the roof of the building from a distance. Don't worry the stone figure you'll see on top isn't someone petrified. It is a statue by Antony Gormley; one of a series of sculptures called “Another Time II”.
Bodleian Library
One of the largest libraries in England and home to archaic medieval books on spells and wizards!

Easy walk—everything is close. Valentine was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable & friendly. It was a great way to see New College while learning about Oxford and Harry Potter.

We did the Harry Potter Walking Tour of Oxford, including New College, with Vittoria and had a fantastic experience. Vittoria was a wonderful guide—knowledgeable and engaging about both Oxford’s history and its connection to the Harry Potter films. She brought the tour to life with great stories, fun facts, and just the right amount of detail. The stops were well chosen, New College was a highlight, and Vittoria made the entire experience enjoyable and easy to follow. Whether you’re a Harry Potter fan or just interested in Oxford, this tour is absolutely worth it

Not many actual locations, part was closed even though we paid full price. The weather was horrible, but still they made us wait in the rain

We decided at the last minute to do this walking tour and we're glad we did. We had a great tour with Sue, she was so lovely and informative and made the group feel very comfortable. She made fun for the kids with quizzes and also checked a number of times that the non-native English speakers were understanding. Not only a Harry Potter themed tour, the tour gives you history about Oxford, it's architecture and history. Entry into Divinity School and New College is included and we thought it was definitely worth the money to have a guide.

Very good experience. Valentine was very helpful and nice. She is easy going, fun and informative. Learned a lot about the university and its link to Harry Potter. Our two teenagers were also very happy and didn’t get bored at all. Like the bookshop and dining hall a lot

We did the Harry Potter tour with Valentine. The atmosphere was totally feel good and open. The lively and knowledgeable mediating nature of Valentine makes it a great experience. Despite the rain we had a funny and interactive atmosphere, so the cup went to Ravenclaw after all;)

We did the Harry Potter tour with Valentine. The atmosphere was totally to feel good about and we felt very welcome! The vivacious and knowledgeable yet fun-to-communicate kind of Valentine made it an unforgettable experience. Despite a rainy weather, we made the most of it and brought home a cup to the House of Ravenclaw ;)
