What To Expect
The square is subject to frequent gatherings which can be volatile, and really should be avoided by foreigners during those times. In calmer moments the square shows the wear and tear of revolution but is pretty central to modern Egyptian political life. Just west of the roundabout is a street called El-Tahrir Street. It is covered in murals depicting the revolutionary feelings. Great artwork. Warm people. Depending on the political climate, worth taking a look.

5.00An unforgettable experience with Ahmed Kassab! From the late afternoon quad ride through sunset, to the delicious meal and the visit of Old Cairo, everything was perfectly organized. Ahmed made the whole experience feel authentic, warm, and incredibly friendly. It honestly felt more like spending the day with a friend than with a guide. 5.00Memphis Tours solved everything from start to finish in our 8 days! Perfect coordination and flexibility of everything we visited: pyramids, temples, meals, Nile cruise, local flights, anyway, we were not alone at any time. The guides Mohamed and Medhat are champions, they know a lot and explained every detail and query (all in Spanish). Thank you! We traveled the country from north (Cairo) to south (Abu Simbel) accompanied by tourism professionals, all quiet and at no time felt unsafe. Egypt is a great country and worth coming to. I assure you that with Memphis the experience will be unforgettable and you should not worry about anything. The service on the cruise ship Salacia with all its crew was outstanding. We had a great time! Thanks also to the country officials (Ibrahim and Yahya) and the drivers. Geniuses! Very grateful.

5.00There is no video, documentary or photo that can give as much amazement and emotion as the real-life visit to the treasures of Egypt, both by visiting the archaeological sites and admiring the natural panorama during the Nile cruise. We traveled in May, at the beginning of the low season, but still in time to avoid melting in the great southern heat. The advantage was that we didn't find any crowds or queues. The staff at Memphis was exceptional and very professional. In each city we were welcomed and facilitated in all steps by the agency representatives who assisted us in everything with great availability and courtesy (Abdul in Cairo, Ahmed in Luxor and Ramadan in Aswan). I fondly remember the excellent guides who accompanied us: Emilio in Abu Simbel, Alì for four days in the sites visited during the Nile cruise and finally the prof. Sherif in Cairo. Even during the booking and organization phase we were followed by Khaloud with great kindness and precision. Lastly, something that may seem like a small thing, but it isn't, we have always been provided with the necessary water. I definitely recommend relying on Menphis Tour for trips to Egypt.
