What To Expect
Hawaii Volcanoes National Park
While most of the visit will be spent here! We will cover all popular stops with commentary. The following areas will be visited: Volcano House, Visitor Center, Kilauea overlook of the Halemaumau Crater, steam vents and sulfur dioxide banks, Kilauea Iki Crater, Laumanu Crater and Nahuku lava tube.
Hilo Farmers Market
The largest and locally grown vegetables and fruits are available in Hilo Farmers market that is conveniently located in the Historical Hilo Town. Guests are given an hour for lunch in this area full of restaurants and local shops.

5.00Makaio tours is fantastic. Bus was spotless. Justin was a wonderful guide. Funny, kind, very communicative, and personable. We got picked up and dropped off at the Hilo airport. We happened to get extremely lucky and saw an eruption! Justin expertly navigated us to the best spots to see the eruption through his connections. We spent more time at the Volcano park because of the special event. Highly recommend bringing a sweater or hoodie. Temps were around 50 degrees Fahrenheit near the crater. We got to see sea turtles, wild pigs, and learn about the native fauna, volcanos, and the island’s history. Such a wonderful experience that I will cherish. Highly recommend!!

5.00Justin did a great job, very knowledgeable and informative. Kept the group on time. Accommodated our dinner reservation on the cruise ship by shuttling us back early and left rest to end the black beach. Went to National Volcano Park, black sand beach, lunch and and shopping in a small town. Driver made our day and the trip!! Don’t hesitate to book with this company!!

Very knowledgeable, great at time management, we got to see everything we wanted and had extra time for shopping etc. We threw him a curve ball with an unexpected handicap and he was a trooper helping and watching out for us. Would highly recommend this excursion
