Aleksander Nevski Katedraali
Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Tallinn, built between 1894 and 1900, is a striking example of Russian Revival architecture located on Toompea Hill. It was constructed during the Russian Empire’s rule over Estonia as a symbol of Russian influence and features distinctive onion domes, richly decorated mosaics, and a grand iconostasis inside. The cathedral remains an active Orthodox church and is one of Tallinn’s most iconic landmarks, reflecting the city’s complex history and cultural diversity.

This Tallinn day trip was amazing from start to finish. The ferry crossing was smooth and relaxing. Once in the medieval Old Town, the guide’s stories brought history to life as we wandered cobbled streets and admired iconic sights like Town Hall Square and Viru Gate. The day’s pace was perfect, with enough free time to enjoy charming shops and cozy cafes. Everything was well-organized, making it an effortless and memorable experience I highly recommend!
