Schloss Wildenwart
In the middle of the idyllic foothills of the Alps only a few kilometres from Lake Chiemsee is the historic castle ensemble Wildenwart. After the assumption of power by the revolutionary government, the Bavarian royal family, including Ludwig III, met at Wildenwart Castle, which was to become the new home for the Wittelsbach family. In 1979, Max Herzog in Bavaria, great-grandson of Ludwig III, moved with his family into the castle, which can be visited from the outside.

5.00Stephen was a fabulous guide for our private trip to Ludwig II third palace and Salzburg. In spite of occasional showers, he got us to the correct ferries and on the next English tour. We had a lovely lunch stop at charming neighboring island. Then, special stops at Sound of Music locations and a walking tour of old town Salzburg - with plenty of history along the way! It was a great day thanks to Stephen! Highly recommend any tour with him!
