My twin 12 year old girls and I had a wonderful time learning about history through the eyes of the women of Derry. Anne was so knowledgeable but also a great story teller and my girls and I really enjoyed themselves and learned so much! I would highly recommend this walking tour for anyone who wants to get a more intimate experience learning about the Maiden city - Anne covers so much information you won't miss out on anything you could get on another tour but you will also get to learn about Herstory!

A brilliant tour with Anne who was very knowledgeable and brought the whole thing to life. As we are in our late 70s, we were concerned about the hilly nature of Derry but were pleased that the steepest parts were avoided and it was all very manageable.

Most history mentions the key male figures and Annie has been looking at the women who have suffered, influenced and kept Derry going through the centuries. What are Derry women dealing with now? What progress has there been for the modern Derry Girl?

Honestly, what can I say! Anne is an absolute gem of a person and a certifiable bad**s! The tour is informative and interesting, hitting on the highlights covered by the other tours but what makes this tour special is two things: 1. Anne is passionate and knowledgeable about the 'herstory' of Derry and answers all queries and questions with understanding 2. The unique perspective of this tour to look at the overlooked and lost histories of the women is fantastic and very much needed! All in all, myself and my partner loved the tour and as walking tour veterans, we would highly recommend this tour with Anne! Get yourselves booked on :)

The tour was a fascinating alternative overview of local history. Anne covers the conventional history but adds multiple layers restoring women's history (both individual anc group) to the centre of Derry's history. Once you're finished you can enjoy a cuppa knowing that you're now much more knowledgeabl!

This is a special tour. The guide is an academic historian who’s collected stories from archival research. Found the experience incredibly warm and comfortable. Very easy to ask questions and have a conversation. Thank you, Anne! Recommend taking this tour as a supplement to a more traditional one of you want to get a detailed history of the Troubles.
