Explore with us the hidden treasures of Addis Ababa, like Bahita Mariam Church with the tomb of Addis Ababa's founders or the hustle and bustle of Africa's biggest open-air market. Let us say a greeting to our grandmother Lucy at the National Museum and take a break at Zoma museum with its permaculture garden and artistic clay-clad houses. Take part in a cooking and tasting session of traditional Ethiopian food and continue this fragrance and taste experience with a traditional coffee ceremony. Finally come with us to Mount Entoto at the entrance of Addis Ababa and explore with us the history of Ethiopia's capital. From here you will also enjoy the beautiful sunset over the skyline of Addis Ababa. This unique adventure is suitable for all types and ages of travelers. We will pick you from your hotel, or any place you prefer, and drop you again there after a day packed with cultural experiences, insider knowledge, and memorable encounters with local traditions.

What To Expect

1

Mercato Market

Mercator is the biggest open air market in Africa, crowded and vivid, full of merchants and customers. You will not only see traditional basketry, pottery and livestock to be sold here, but also the recycling market, where different items are made from waste.

2

Zoma Museum

We will have lunch at Zoma museum, taking a rest from the loud and crowded city in the peaceful permaculture garden of the museum. False banana trees and different herbs together with a small urban farm give an impression of Ethiopian urban agriculture. Here we will also see how traditional Ethiopian food is prepared and get a chance to try it afterwards. More scents and tastes are touched with the following Ethiopian coffee ceremony, where coffee is roasted and prepared, while incense is burned on a traditional charcoal stove.

I can highly recommend Anteneh as a guide in Ethiopia. He is an exceptionally kind, warm, and above all honest person. It is particularly worth highlighting that he was always reachable and consistently took care of all requests quickly. He always made an effort to accommodate additional wishes and showed remarkable flexibility and dedication. Even in often challenging situations in the country, he repeatedly found ways to make everything work so that we could continue our journey. His positive attitude and commitment greatly enriched the trip. Thank you very much for the excellent support!

I booked the tour at very short notice. Nevertheless, Anateh (as a guide) and Miki (as a driver) made the stopover in Addis Ababa something special. Both were always friendly, flexible and accommodating. It was super exciting to discover lesser-known places in addition to the famous “Lucy” and “Merkato”! Would definitely come back!

I recently went on a full day tour with Pure Love Ethiopia and I am happy to say that my expectations have been fully met. My guide Wonde was very competent, professional and friendly and answered all my questions. I was the only participant that day, and Mule made a real effort to respond to my interests. We had lively conversations about Ethiopian culture and history. The food was also a highlight, because I could taste dishes I would never have known otherwise. The full-day tour is a great way to get to know Addis Ababa in a short time!

I joined several friends on this day-tour of Addis Ababa, prior to joining an already separately booked 3-week tour of many parts of Ethiopia. We had a wonderful day with Antenah! He is very knowledgeable, kind, and he was very attentive to our interests. We all wished we could spend more time touring with Antenah!!

I joined Dannakil Depression 3D2N arranged by Anteneh , the price was reasonable compared to other’s travel agencies. This Dannakil Depression tour was amazing , I missed it so much although weather was hot and bad living environment. I will visit Ethiopia again and join other tours of Anteneh’s travel agency again. Thanks

  • An Unforgettable Family Trip to the Bale Mountains & Omo Valley

    idow2025,Dec 25, 2025

    - Review from Tripadvisor

Last October, we traveled to Ethiopia with our family and explored the breathtaking Bale Mountains and the fascinating Omo Valley. It was an extraordinary journey and one of the most meaningful trips we have ever taken—largely thanks to our exceptional guide, Antene. Antene’s knowledge of Ethiopia’s history, wildlife, cultures, and traditions is remarkable. In the Bale Mountains, he guided us through stunning landscapes and helped us truly appreciate the unique nature and wildlife of the area. In the Omo Valley, his deep understanding of the local tribes and cultures, along with his respectful and sensitive approach, made every visit insightful and authentic. Traveling as a family, we felt completely taken care of. Antene was patient, attentive, and always made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe. He adapted the pace of the trip to our needs and went out of his way to make the experience enjoyable and meaningful for all of us. Beyond his professionalism, Antene is a genuinely warm and kind person. His positive energy, calm presence, and passion for his country turned this trip into something truly special. By the end of the journey, he felt like part of our family. We cannot recommend this trip—and especially Antene—highly enough. If you are considering a visit to the Bale Mountains or the Omo Valley, Antene is the guide you want by your side.

  • Danikil Desert Tour

The Danakil Desert is a place of extremes. From the vibrant sulfur formations to the vast salt plains, it’s a landscape you simply won't find anywhere else. It was a three day group tour and a bit disorganized in parts, but the experience itself is so rare and special that I’m happy to rate it 5 stars. Even without seeing lava, the volcanoes were deeply impressive. A must-do if you want to see the most unique corner of the globe.
