  • An Unforgettable Family Trip to the Bale Mountains & Omo Valley

    idow2025,,Dec 25, 2025

    - Review from Tripadvisor

Last October, we traveled to Ethiopia with our family and explored the breathtaking Bale Mountains and the fascinating Omo Valley. It was an extraordinary journey and one of the most meaningful trips we have ever taken—largely thanks to our exceptional guide, Antene. Antene’s knowledge of Ethiopia’s history, wildlife, cultures, and traditions is remarkable. In the Bale Mountains, he guided us through stunning landscapes and helped us truly appreciate the unique nature and wildlife of the area. In the Omo Valley, his deep understanding of the local tribes and cultures, along with his respectful and sensitive approach, made every visit insightful and authentic. Traveling as a family, we felt completely taken care of. Antene was patient, attentive, and always made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe. He adapted the pace of the trip to our needs and went out of his way to make the experience enjoyable and meaningful for all of us. Beyond his professionalism, Antene is a genuinely warm and kind person. His positive energy, calm presence, and passion for his country turned this trip into something truly special. By the end of the journey, he felt like part of our family. We cannot recommend this trip—and especially Antene—highly enough. If you are considering a visit to the Bale Mountains or the Omo Valley, Antene is the guide you want by your side.

The Danakil Desert is a place of extremes. From the vibrant sulfur formations to the vast salt plains, it’s a landscape you simply won't find anywhere else. It was a three day group tour and a bit disorganized in parts, but the experience itself is so rare and special that I’m happy to rate it 5 stars. Even without seeing lava, the volcanoes were deeply impressive. A must-do if you want to see the most unique corner of the globe.

Arrived off the plane and was collected from my hotel for a Hidden Treasures experience. From the start, my guide Biruk, was magnificent. He wanted to check with me the timings and order of the day, and asked if this was all good. I asked if we could swap in something as an alternative for the Zoma Museum and we did so. Biruk had clear passion and pride on the places we visited. His efforts to give me a really insightful and detailed account of the culture and history was a pleasure. I recommend this company fully for your chosen day trip. Our itinerary was: Bata Mariam Church Mercato Market Mount Entoto Coffee ceremony National Museum Ethiopia Coffee Football match What ever you chose to do, use these guys to do it, I had a great day.

  • Perfect layover tour to discover history, food and culture

I only had a one-day layover in Addis Ababa and wanted to discover Ethiopian food, history and culture - this was the perfect tour! As a solo traveller, a tour made it safer and easier to get around in a short period of time. My driver, Miki, and guide, Biruk, were excellent, showing me sights in and around the city. I got to experience the bustling market, visit the museum, see the city from the mountains, and visit a church. My highlight was going up to a local family's home in the hills and making my own injera, then washing it down with a traditional Ethiopian coffee. While I only had a short time in Addis Ababa, I was able to have many unique experiences outside of the usual tourist sightseeing route. Also, Biruk is an excellent photographer - I have so many great photos from my tour! Overall, I'd highly recommend this tour if you're passing through Addis Ababa and want a unique taste of Ethiopian culture.

  • Excellent Layover Tour - Coffee, Food, and a taste of the city

We had a fantastic experience with this tour company. Biruk, our guide, was very accommodating to our schedule and what we wanted to see, and created a top notch experience. We had a layover at Addis Ababa for about 7 hours, and wanted to use the opportunity for a (quick) journey out of the airport. Our focus was seeing the city, getting to walk around the massive outdoor market, and experiencing a proper Ethiopian coffee ceremony and meal. Check, check, and double check! We were in communication prior to landing around what we would work into the amount of time we had. They picked us up in a nice, new electric car at the airport, and we began our journey around town. The tour concluded with an authentic coffee ceremony and lunch, where we got to sample local foods as well as watch our coffee start from fresh beans, get roasted in front of us, ground (we helped!), and served. It was a blast, and everyone we spoke with was so warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend Biruk and this company for tours/day trips, and they were great an accommodating for a layover tour–getting us back to the airport not too early, but with enough time that we didn't need to be rushed. If/when we find ourselves in Ethiopia again, we'll see them again!

A truly memorable experience. Anteneh our guide ensured we saw the main sights in a way that suited us and we particularly wanted to see. The tour was seamless, including a coffee ceremony and lunch with an Ethiopian family. Truly memorable. Made all the better by Anteneh's knowledge, attention to safety and knowing exactly where to go see the best sights. Highly recommend.
