Bode-Museum
The Bode Museum: A magnificent "water castle", captivating visitors right from its impressive equestrian statue in the glorious entrance hall—even before stepping into its outstanding collections of Byzantine art, sculptures, and coins.
The Pergamon Museum: A world-famous museum—and currently an equally famous construction site. As the youngest of the pre-war buildings on Museum Island, it will once again dazzle visitors upon reopening with unique monuments such as the Pergamon Altar, the Market Gate of Miletus, and the Ishtar Gate.

We really enjoyed the Museum Island Highlights tour. Klaus, our tour guide, was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the subject. We learned so much about the history and architecture that we never would have known otherwise. The tour was informative and engaging and the perfect length. We would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a history on museum island and seeing a glimpse of what the wonderful museums have to offer.

My partner and I went on a tour with Klaus Wehner of museum island. Klaus was absolutely amazing. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about history, architecture, and art. Yet, at the same time, very approachable and friendly. I felt like I was chatting with a local Berliner friend. 10/10. Highly highly recommend.

Excellent tour. If you are fluent in English it is an excellent option as I told you very much about the history of the place, with dates and details. It also helps you with doubts you may have about the city. Recommended.

Great tour to teach friends from outside interesting and interesting facts about Berlin's cultural center. Klaus does this on his Museum Island Tour with great passion and an enormous amount of detailed knowledge. So despite 40 years in Berlin I still had some Ahaaaa moments 😉 Highly recommended!

This was a perfect guided tour in my opinion. Small group of 4 in total plus our wonderful guide, Klaus. Klaus has an amazing knowledge of museums, art and architecture and was prepared to share his knowledge in an accessible way. He provided insights into the art and collections in each gallery and museum, took us inside where possible to show us amazing features and art. His explanations of the context for the architecture, renovations, building additions and collections (and orientation of various statues) were fantastic. He also addressed the history of Berlin and how this affected the things we were seeing.
