After being picked up from your hotel, we begin the Chouwen Tour by heading to one of the most picturesque towns in Lebanon’s Jbeil District. Put your hiking boots on as we walk the ‘Lake Trail’, a 45-60 minute walk which will lead us to the Nahr-Ibrahim, referred to by locals as the river of the Adonis, the Greek God of beauty and desire. Upon reaching the lake, you can enjoy a well deserved swim or relax on the banks and take in the incredible surrounds. Once you have reached a state of relaxation and absorbed the natural beauty around you, we will resume our hike to the top for lunch where you can indulge in the local cuisine and take in the breathtaking scenery.

5.00I am happy to have Nicola and her husband, Fawzi with me for four days in Lebanon. Nicola responded to my e-mails and Whatsapp swiftly. I felt very secure and relaxed when travelling with them as a solo traveler in Lebanon for the first time. Throughout the 4-day trip the couple brought me to most part of the country (the South, the East and the North), plus some off-the-beaten-track spots where other travel companies won’t do. Although we were not able to get to the top of the mountain to see the cedars of Lebanon, the national trees due to heavy snow, they had done their best to help me getting there and accommodated most of my requests. It’s a shame but this “unexpected” experience would give me another good reason to come back. I really appreciated their flexibility and effort that made this trip successful. Thank you again Nicola and Fawzi. Nice to have met you and I felt honoured to be one of your guests here in Lebanon.
