This blissful walk will have you traveling through the captivating Qadisha Valley, home of some of the most ancient Christian communities within the Middle East. This journey begins at the Mar Lishaa Monastery, The walk to the Qannoubine Monastery is about 5.3km, you will be greeted by a sing-song chorus from local birdlife and breathtaking waterfalls as we venture through the valley. After an hour of wandering you will find the Qannoubine Monastery, one of the oldest Maronite Monasteries within the Holy Valley. While experiencing the captivating culture and spiritual surroundings throughout this journey we recommend to take some time to fully immerse your senses; meditate, pray, or simply relax and take in the tranquil atmosphere. The hike in total is a 10.6km round trip, which takes around 2.5 hours in total.

Every stop felt like a secret spot only locals know about ,truly the best way to explore Lebanon. Highly recommended for authentic and private adventures!

We did Quadisha Valley, Sidon, and the Chouwen hike , each one felt special and really well planned. Elie was super kind, always checking in on us and even brought water and snacks for the road. Honestly, if you’re looking for private tours in Lebanon, Explore Lebanon is the one to go with!

5.00During our visit to family in Lebanon we booked a hiking trip in qadisha valley. Everything was as we wanted it to be. Our wonderful guide was André. Down the mountain in to the valley and up again. In between we visited two beautiful ancient monestries and a the cave of a hermit where also an ancient school used to be. What a beautiful vieuws on our hike ... really incredible!!! After the hike we where suprised with a visit to the ceder park... so peaceful and beautiful We really want to thank our guide André, you good feel that he enjoyed what he was doing, so passioned about the ancient history of the mountain/valley and the monestries.
