What To Expect
Meet your guide at Main square of McLeod ganj market (meeting Point) and will take you location where the hike will start as per scheduled pick up time. Walk through the mixed forest of oak, rhododendron and deodar trees. The trail is well marked all the way up to Triund. From McLeod Ganj it is 3/4 hours steep ascent to Triund. Small tea shops on the way can provide good refreshments. Triund is an alpine meadow situates atop a flat ridge with fine views of peaks of Dhauladhars on one side an Kangra valley on the other side. After spending quality of time in the lap of Himalayas,les start descending to McLeod Ganj from Tiund. Take the same route on the way back or follow the grassy ridge which will lead to Bhagsu Nag Temple, after crossing a small waterfall on the way. McLeod Ganj is only 1.5 Km from the Bhagsu Nag by road. When the tour ends, you will return to original meeting point.

5.00Triund is a beautiful hike and the views were amazing. Along the way the scenery was beautiful and we also got to see local shepherds and their flocks. Our guide Ranjit was great. Helpful, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. He showed us the right way to handle the more difficult areas and gave us a hand when we needed it. He told us lots about the flora and fauna and Clearly was someone who knew his way around the mountain. Raj from the Himachal Bylocals Team also arranged a taxi to take us right from our hotel to the start of the trek and introduce us to our guide. At the end the driver met us and took us back. It was very convenient.

5.00The trek to top of Triund was especially pleasant because of the attentive and knowledgeable guide, Ranjit. We also had a wonderful roundtrip driver to the trailhead, Sonu, and the whole thing was coordinated by Himachal By Locals. This experience was truly top notch! Highly recommended.

5.00With only a 3 day stay in Dharmasala, I signed up for the one day trek to Triund, where I would get a taste of the majestic Himalayas. The hike completely surpassed my expectations, filling me with a sense of wonder and awe. The exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable guide pointed out the names of trees and birds. He was attentive to my needs and safety the entire day and guided me through the more challenging, rockier parts. The view of the Himalayas from Triund filled me with reverence. The tiny cafe had savory, delicious food, which replenished my energy. I felt completely safe and satisfied with every aspect of this beautiful one day trek.

5.00My family and I did the Triund Trek, and whilst it certainly can be quite challenging in places, the views are incredible and well worth the effort. Himachal By Locals were an extremely professional tour operator and their communication leading up to the trek was first class. They even arranged transport for us to the starting point for a very small additional fee. Finally, if you book this tour I would strongly recommend requesting Mr Ranjit. A local to the area, he answered every question we had and assisted the members of our group through the trickier parts of the trail! Overall, an amazing experience!
