Lemosho is considered the most beautiful route on Kilimanjaro and grants panoramic vistas on various sides of the mountain. It is our favorite route because it offers a great balance of low traffic, scenic views and a high summit success rate. Thus, Lemosho is highly recommended.

  • Amazing Tanzania experience of Kilimanjaro and the Serengeti

What an amazing experience with Safari Soles. We origianlly contacted Safari Soles back in January 23 as we were planning to climb Kilimanjaro in Feb. We booked the 8 day Lemosho route followed by a 5 day Safari through the Serengeti. Zuria did an amazing job of asssiting us and answering our hundreds of questions. We were all set to go when my bf unfortuantley had a ski accident 4 days before we were due to fly requiring 2 surgeries. Zuria was again amazing and worked with the office to secure our deposit to use in the future once recovered. This really stood out as fantastic service. 13 months later we were ready to go. We made contact and Furahini picked up our booking. We had the same plan and again all our questions were answered with ease over whats app making it very convienient. From the moment we landed everything was taken care of. We had transfers to a beautiful property Arusha Farm House, witha  stunning pool and great food. The perfect way to begin our trip. Rama our incredible guide for Kilimanjaro came to meet with us and advise us of the plan for the following day. He answered all our questions and gave some great advice. We had the best experience with an awesome team, Rama and Paulo as our guides, Nicholaus our Chef, Makame our waitor and Hamisi, Kahawa, Abdilahi, Kiba, Godlizen and Filbert as our porters. Jamal also joined us from the office to experience the climb for himself. We were surprised there were so many Crew to assist us (theses numbers are normal for 2 people) however we were very blessed and grateful they were with us. Thanks to our incredible team we were able to sumit on the 7th morning. The whole hike was a wonderful experience, challenging enough, with only the summit hike really testing our mental capacity. its tough waking up at 11pm to hike 1000m in the dark and cold, but with the support of Rama, Paulo, Kiba and Jamal we made it. The food during the trip was fantastic and way more than we expected. Freshly prepared food each meal time, delicious soups and fruit. After the climb we enjoyed another evening at the Farm House prior to setting off on Safari. Grace was always very friendly and welcoming and we saw her during both stays. The following day we flew to the Serengeti to meet our guide Estomhi. The flight in its self was a beautiful experience, we could see the vast plains and would definately recommend. Over the next 5 days we stayed in some incredible accomodations and saw the most beautiful animals. It is hard to describe the feeling of seeing all these wonderful beings roaming free in the wild. We saw 4 of the big 5 and countless other animals. We had thought we would spend hours each day looking and searching but there is an abundance of animals. The safari took us over the Serengeti and to the Ngorongoro crater which we would recommend. Changing accomodation each night was easy as you take everything with you in the jeep. We also left excess luggage at the farmhouose as not to carry the things we didnt need. Overall this was a truly incredible once in a lifetime experience which we would highly recommend. Every one we encountered was amazing and the organisation and delivery was flawless. A massive thank you to every one at Safari Soles for this wonderful exerience. Sent from Outlook for Android

  • Lemosho route with the best crew!

The hike to Kilimanjaro with the Safari Soles crew was simply incredible! I chose the Lemosho route and completed it in 6 days. Everything was perfectly prepared! My guide Emanuel Mkumbo looked after my wellbeing and safety, pushed me in challenging situations, listened to my needs and we had a lot of fun and good stories to tell! The cook, Vino, prepared the best meals and Isa always checked that I had everything I needed. Part of my things were carefully transported by the porters and the whole team was sharing happiness once I returned safety from the peak! I can definitely recommend Safari Sole and my crew!

It's a lifetime experience to do Kili and to succeed thanks to a team that help us fulfilling this. Thanks to Bryson for making it so easy for us, for both, Kilimanjaro and Safaris. Thanks also to Franky (best guide ever) and all his team that were so kind and so generous, always the smile on their faces. Lemosho route is wonderful, each day is different with a lot of sceneries and views. We recommend them 1000%. Abdelilah & Smahane

  • The best Kilimanjaro/safari company operating in Tanzania

    agN9839AW,,Aug 14, 2022

    - Review from Tripadvisor

My husband and I spent two weeks in mainland Tanzania with Safari Soles (first, climbing Kilimanjaro and then on safari in the Serengeti) and we confidently concluded that we had found that this was the best company operating in Tanzania. The company is run by Bryson, who is a young local Tanzanian. All of Bryson's employees spoke incredibly highly of him and his professionalism, describing him as a man who never cuts corners. This was exactly accurate with our impression of him. In the lead up to the trip and during, he was always available, friendly, impressively efficient and easy to communicate with, and patiently answered every one of my questions. He organised exactly the trip we wanted - the activities, perfect dates, to our budget, etc. First, we spent 8 days taking the Lemosho route up Kilimanjaro with Gasto (guide), Justin (assistant guide) and their team of porters. The group knew each other very well, since many of them have worked together for ten years, and their cohesion was evident. They felt like a family and we were made to feel very much a part of that family. Every person we passed on the mountain seemed to know and would greet Gasto, evidencing how respected he is as a guide and also how experienced he is. When he became a guide ten years ago, he was the youngest guide on the mountain. He knows every leaf, every symptom of altitude sickness, every corner of Kilimanjaro. Within a day, he had sussed out our strengths and weaknesses and would tailor our daily schedules to reflect this. The porters always got us the best spots in the campsites, everyone on the team was flawlessly professional and punctual, the food was excellent, the kit we borrowed top quality and the friendliness of the team was wonderful. Making it to the summit was amazing but we will cherish the memory of every member of our team who we spent those 8 days with as much as getting to the top of Africa! Next, we spent four days on a camping safari in central and northern Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater, with Isaack (guide) and Dennis (chef). They were a fantastic pair who also seemed to know every other guide or ranger we passed! Dennis was a magician, cooking up the most delicious meals in such basic conditions. My jaw dropped when he brought us fantastic freshly baked bread for dinner! Dennis could absolutely be working for a top restaurant in Arusha. Isaack was super friendly and endlessly knowledgeable about the parks and animals, and managed to not only show us a heap of different animals but some amazing scenes - like a lion and hyena showdown over a killed buffalo! The Safari Soles guides have a great relationship with each other so, since there were two different SS jeeps in the Serengeti at the same time, Isaack and the other guide often worked together, giving each other tips on what they'd found that day etc. So you benefit from the eyes of not just your guide but their other fantastic guides too! It was really important for us to book with a Tanzanian company, not an international one. This was a once-in-a-lifetime trip for us that we'd saved for and we wanted the money we spent to go entirely to Tanzania and the local people. Bryson has gathered a team of the very best guides, porters, chefs in Tanzania. You can't go wrong by booking with him and I am confident that, like us, you'll be grateful every day of your trip for finding Safari Soles!

So my name is Inês, I’m from Portugal. Me and my boyfriend Pedro just arrived from a 7 days Lemosho route, in Kilimanjaro that turned into a 6 days route because we have this amazing team with us. We were super lucky with the Safari Soles team that we had, they were all great, super experienced with Kilimanjaro and they all did so much for us, it’s literally impossible to do it without them. But we would like to make a special thanks to our guide, which is the best guide EVER. Our guide was William, one of the nicest person we have ever met. Really kind human being, funny and he was looking for us the entire time, helping us, motivating us to get to our goal, he was a really rafiki (friend, in Tanzanian language). It was the most incredible experience we had in our lifes, is hard, but it’s amazing when you reach the top. So a huuuuge asante sana (thank you so much) to Safari Soles and to William and ALL his team for helping us reach our goal.

WoW ! I just climbed the Kilimanjaro. It was a breathtaking and life lasting experience ! I am a quite experienced hiker but realized very quickly I could have never done it without excellent mountain guides. I highly advise you to choose your guides well ! I highly recommend our head guide William +255 762 665 619 He knows Kilimanjaro like his pocket. He is very kind and did everything possible to get us to the summit to make our dreams come true ! He carried our bags when we were too exhausted, helped us and closely watched us on difficult passages, briefed and motivated us daily and finally pushed us safely to the summit. A huge thank you to him ! I also highly recommend our assistant guide Bervine +255 766 563 529 He is a graduated botanist and takes time to explain to you many plants and animals. What an amazing chance to have had this storytelling botanist with us ! He also was very kind and pushed us to the summit. A huge thank you to him ! I am also very happy because I am reassured that our porters were well paid which is often not the case if you book cheap packages. This was very important to me. Please also consider safety as cheap companies do not carry oxygen tanks which can be life saving. It is therefore very dangerous to climb without.

  • Great experience with Safari Soles Tours

My friends and I completed a 7 day hike on Mount Kilimanjaro going up on Lemosho route and descent through Mweka. Each of the trekking day was different and had varied memories. Mount Kilimanjaro itself is grandeur and Lemosho route is definitely very scenic, more than we had anticipated. The key to a successful ascent of Mt Kilimanjaro is to take it laid-back during the first days and ensuring that you acclimatize to the altitude before attempting the final hike to the summit. Upon hitting Uhuru Peak, it is quite a sense of great achievement standing on top the mountain. It is for sure a an amazing experience watching the sun rise over the African skies and with amazing views. We used the service of Safari Soles Tours directly and Bryson made all the arrangements for us. Everything was delivered as planned and at reasonable cost. Our guide was an excellent choice and an expert in helping out alongside the team of porters and cook. The cook and porters were all very good and well organized, the food was good, warm and plentiful with fresh fruits. Everything was on time and the guide adjusted hiking tempo to our abilities and frequent photo stops. He knew well what he was doing. The hike itself, landscape and nature, is of course exceptional. Without the help of our guide, we wouldn’t have succeeded in reaching the summit. Bryson was an excellent planner and made all efforts in providing all the information we needed beforehand. Everything was as per the details provided and trust me that they know the mountain very well, providing you with the right info and the potential problems and solutions. For us, using Safari Soles Tours was a great experience.
