This trek is a perfect combination of a hiking and sightseeing tour. We begin our trek through a pine forest with views of the Teide volcano and the site of the last eruption in 1909. After 70 minutes of walking, we will reach an altitude of 1300 meters. From this viewpoint, we will see a diverse landscape encompassing mountains, the ocean, the Masca Gorge, and the famous road that winds through the Teno mountain serpentine. Next, we set off on the main route, which leads along the mountain slope. Ahead, we will encounter scenic overlooks and historical landmarks. The final stage of our hike takes us through a relict laurel forest. This unique ecosystem was created by Tenerife's unique climate. The trek covers a distance of 7.5 km with an elevation gain of 300 meters. Witness iconic landscapes from unique vantage points, including an exclusive aerial view of Masca, and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Teno mountains, all while avoiding crowded tourist trails.
We'll reach the starting point of our hike in my car within 5 minutes.

I really enjoyed this travel experience. It was a small and more select group of just five people in total including our guide Eugenio. It wasn't the typical bus tour. We all got along very well and could talk to each other frequently throughout the day. Our guide Eugenio was very kind and often explained the local plants and landscapes we encountered along the way. He also took high-quality photos of us at many different spots. He stayed in constant contact and kept us encouraged the entire time. We had a great time together and the journey itself was excellent. We crossed through different types of vegetation and altitudes enjoying the contrasting landscapes on the different slopes of Tenerife. Overall the hike was relatively easy. The climb isn't very intense but the air quality is incredibly good and you can truly feel the wild nature of the island in a safe way. If you have already visited the main peak and want to experience the windward side and the other face of Tenerife I highly recommend joining this group as it offers excellent value for money.

This hike was honestly one of the highlights of our trip. Eugenio was a great guide — full of energy, friendly, and he knew a lot about the island and its plants. I liked that his explanations were interesting, but not too much like a lecture. The hike was very well organized and the landscapes changed a lot, so it never felt boring. The enchanted forest at the end was really special and for me it really deserved its name. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see a more authentic side of the island and enjoys being outside.

Eugene was an amazing tour guide and we loved our hike in Masca! He did a great job explaining everything in the trail to us and he even offered us transportation to our hotel after taking us to a great local restaurant nearby. Overall, this was an incredible experience (the views in Masca were beautiful) and we would recommend it to anybody interested in hiking or getting to know Tenerife a little bit better :)

We had a wonderful hike with our guide, Eugenio. He was friendly and knowledgeable, adapting the hike to suit our pace. He challenged us which was great. We just wish the weather had cleared for us to see the views but we couldn’t control that…. It has enthused us to return and do more hikes of the wonderful Terrain of Tenerife. We only had trainers on which was fine, raincoats were a must! Thank you Eugenio!

First time visiting Canary islands - Tenerife & La Gomera. This trip description somehow stood out of other Tenerife excursions on offer and so was booked whilst I was still in the UK. The experience matched all expectations and more - it was truly extraordinary: The out of worldly breathtaking scenery magically intertwined with the pure uplifting ancient energy of the area, took onto another level as soon as we got to the place... In addition, that area has a vast variety of plants and wild life plus most unbelievable rock formations. The air is incredible there of course, too, as expected in the mountains. Still, a light scent of sweet blossoms touched by the sun heath adds a new twist to the pallet. Eugenio is an amazing tour guide: knowledgeable, passionate about the area and the island, caring and flexible. He was immediately responding to my requests for extra stops, unfortunately, required due to my (good quality but not 100% suitable for the surface) hiking shoes plus and the heath I'm not used to anymore. It was a very hot day, luckily, some kind cloud 🙂 covered and cooled down the area prior to our arrival and then, as we were heading towards the main view point, disappeared gradually opening most spectacular views I couldn't take my eyes off!! 😍🏞👍 Also, Eugenio kindly arranged a last minute transfer to the place. I was going to hire a car, however, a day before the hike wasn't feeling quite ready for driving challenging mountain serpentines on the another side of the road. 🙈 Eugenio picked me up & dropped off at my accommodation. He's a very good driver on the top of all above. 👍 Highly recommended - one of those rare experiences you will never forget!🏞🌄🌵🏵🌲🌞👍✨️👍 P.S. It is a stunning and challenging hike so will push your adrenaline buttons, too! 😉✨️👍
