What To Expect

Join me to experience the joy of riding a mountain bike amidst beautiful views of Dhauladhar ranges, enjoy sight-seeing, cherish the nature closely and explore hidden treasures. You will be provided with a well equipped mountain bike, helmet and cycling gloves for safety. We will ride as a group and will take you to some of the beautiful landscapes, close to nature, lovely views, beautiful tea gardens etc. I will be riding along and will support you throughout the ride (in case of any help needed) to make the experience memorable for you. Ride Duration - around 3 hrs On the Ride day - 1. Everyone to reach and meet at the venue as per scheduled time. 2. Bikes and helmet will be provided. 3. After everyone is ready a small session "Know your bike" to make you aware about the bike and ride ethics, followed by bike-fit check and a short trial to make you comfortable with the bike. 4. All set to go for the ride and explore the nature. I will be riding along to guide and support throughout the ride. The route will be safe to ride, with least traffic and nature close with lots of greenery around and amazing views..

This cycling tour was an excellent experience from start to finish. The organizer knows the area incredibly well and chose routes that were both scenic and safe, with interesting local insights along the way. Everything was well organized, making the ride smooth and enjoyable without any stress. What really stood out was the warm, welcoming attitude and genuine hospitality — it felt less like a tour and more like riding with a knowledgeable local friend. A genuine bucket list weekend for me to cycle in the Himalayas, made all the better by Kamal who was a wonderful host and guide. Kamal is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. He has many stunning routes around the local area that filled 2 x 6 hour days, and as it was just him and I, he tailored the trip and his own weekend plans entirely around me and my needs. As a regular cyclist I found the routes had a great balance of scenery, cultural interest and physical challenge. I felt entirely safe and cared for in Kamal’s hands which included the equipment he provided (bike and helmet). I will definitely ride with Kamal again the next time in Dharamshala.

This was the absolute highlight of our trip. Kamala is a fantastic host and took us on a delightful tour throught quiet village and forest back roads. The cycling was great, and the bikes were in good condition. Kamal is a really knowledgeable guide and wonderful company. We highly recommend this tour.

Kamal was an extremely considerate, thoughtful and charming host. He led us for over 3 hours of a breathtaking cycle through forests and villages surrounded by spectacular views of the mountains. We also visited a Mandir. The bikes were comfortable and easy to use. He was able to adapt to individual needs. His communication skills were excellent. We would highly recommend this tour for someone looking for an off the beaten track wonderful experience.

I really wanted to do Cycling in the mountains I booked this expedition with HilloFerry. The full Mountain ride was of 12 Kms which was covered in 3 hours and the way Mr Kamal from HilloFerry guided the whole expedition the experience was really amazing I would really recommend HilloFerry to book Cycling expedition if any cycling enthusiasts want enjoy mountain biking The whole experience was really amazing

We had a wonderful morning riding with Kamal. The route was extremely scenic and some of the sights could easily have been mistaken for Switzerland. Kamal was a great guide on this ride. He was kind enough to carry water and cookies and more importantly, he made the effort to see that everyone was comfortable. I would recommend this ride to anyone looking to create some memories in Dharamshala/Mcleodganj

This review is a long long time coming. In march of 2022, a friend and I visited McLeodganj and were looking for something active to do. We found hilloferry, which is run by a wonderful guy called Kamal. Kamal is knowledgeable, kind and a true gentleman. He came prepared and tailored the trip to our requirements. The cycles were of very high quality along with the equipment. Had so much fun on this trip, we booked another one where we explored the tea gardens around Dharamsala, the very next day. Highly recommend Kamal and Hill o Ferry to everyone. Do something different. And have fun doing it.
