We had a group of 4 adults and 2 children. It was a cloudy and very windy day and I don't believe we should have left the harbor, but alas we were assured all would be safe. The water was very choppy today with high winds and cloudy skies. It started with my 5 year granddaughter who got sick to her stomach about 20 minutes into the trip followed by son in law who ended up vomiting rather profusely overboard ten minutes later. Then the wife was hit in the head by the shaft of a metal broom which was not secured and fell off the top of the stand where the captain was driving the boat. The covering tarp on the boat then partially blew off as the plastic tie downs holding the tarp broke in the heavy winds. Finally, the "catch" of shrimp was incredibly small with less than a dozen shrimp in the nets and several small fish. I will say the crew was pleasant and tried to be informative and helpful with the sick people on the boat. Thankfully my wife was not severely injured from the broom. However, I don't think the boat should have left the harbor today because of the weather. It didn't seem reasonable to attempt the trip because of the weather. At the beginning of the trip they talked about the possibility of refunds, but in the end none were offered. On a good day, this might have been fun.

Very informative and educational. Crew reminded people about safety when we had a few big waves. The seating could be more comfortable. Standing up is helpful.

On a beautiful afternoon in Hilton Head we had a wonderful two hour experience on the Tammy Jane, with Vagabond Cruises. The SHRIMPING CRUISE was both educational and entertaining. A bonus was coming home with enough shrimp for four people to enjoy with supper, though bringing home shrimp is not guaranteed. We had a good catch! A second bonus was seeing a pair of playful dolphins. John, aka: “Captain Windows” and his crew, Ian and Lauren, provided a great trip. Both were very knowledgeable and communicated well with us “landlubbers.” They gave us an opportunity to “get our hands dirty” as they sorted the catch. The trip was sold out, 22 passengers, but there was plenty of room onboard for everyone to be comfortable. Snacks and beverages are available onboard for purchase. I’m not sure that this trip is exciting or active enough to entertain younger children, but I would highly recommend it for adults and inquisitive teens.

It was a great experience to see how shrimp are caught and degraded and veined. Guide through very knowledgeable, informative, to enhance the experience I would suggest giving the attendee some waiters to put on. It would just be a fun thing to do.

Lots of fun and very informational. We saw dolphin and shark on our trip. We had an interesting catch which contained squid, jellyfish, shrimp, and a number of different fish. The crew were great and really engaging.
