Guide was well versed in the history of Charleston. However, he spent a lot of time talking. I would have liked to see more houses.

The tour focuses more on architecture than history. Tour guide did a great job of keeping group in shade on a hot afternoon. Tour covered the all of the neighborhoods you would want highlighted to get acquainted with Charleston.

Our tour guide Al was highly knowledgeable and had answers to all questions asked. We got a wonderful history lesson. Al especially knew about architecture which was something that was of interest to me. Highly recommend this tour. Bring water and use restroom before going, no pit stops.☺️

If you are lucky, you will get Mr. D. Baucom as your guide. As a former educator (at the Citadel and other prestigious institutions), he is very informative and presents his information in an engaging way. He made an effort to learn our names, and he pulled us into his lessons by including many of us in his explanations. He is also very aware of our different needs and made sure of our comfort. He taught us about the good and the bad of our history, avoiding sugar coating that which is difficult to explain, all the while expressing his love of the city of Charleston. I’m sure any of the guides are excellent. It seems like a well run organization. Thank you!
