This tour covers the most popular landmarks of Old San Juan during the golden hour. At this time you will enjoy beautiful photo-ops of the old town’s beautiful historic architecture. The walk ends in the early evening near restaurants, bars and souvenir shops.

What To Expect
Plaza Colon
This Plaza is the perfect location to learn about the colonial history of Puerto Rico. Some of the questions that will be answered are: why Puerto Rico was so important for Spain? How Puerto Rico became a US Territory and how do locals feel about it now? We will see the Columbus Monument, the Tapia Theater and kilometer zero plaque.
Plaza de la Barandilla
Travelers will see the residential and commercial areas of San Juan with a unique architecture that has not changed much in the last three centuries. We will see the gorgeous Baldority de Castro school building and learn about the history of the plaza.

4.00It was interesting hearing that blacks/ darker skinned people are not valued in Puerto Rico due to war time; however, the people enjoy their music, food and culture. Such a shame that people must be teaching their children to hate.

5.00Antonio was incredibly knowledgeable about standard PR history and culture and so much more. His enthusiastic and passionate presentation kept my family fascinated and engaged throughout the entire tour even though we had heavy rain at points during the tour. He clearly loves Puerto Rico and loves teaching people about Puerto Rico. This was one of our best tours EVER, and that's saying a lot because we travel a lot and have high tour standards. I highly recommend touring with Antonio. His tour approach is informative and refreshing!
