What To Expect
Gates of Peace
At the meeting point, the guide will explain why an atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima and how it shaped the course of world history. The tour will begin at the 10 Gates of Peace, where nine gates represent the gates of hell, while the tenth symbolizes the hell of Hiroshima. The word "peace" is inscribed in 49 different languages on each gate.

5.00Martin was very knowledgeable about the history of Hiroshima, leading up to and after that fateful day on August 6th. We visited several monuments where Martin provided an in-depth understanding of the purpose, design, and function of each structure. If you want to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for the park and all that it contains, I highly recommend his services.
