The Independence Palace
Independence Palace was the base of Vietnamese General Ngo Dinh Diem until his death in 1963. It made its name in global history in 1975. A tank belonging to the North Vietnamese Army crashed through its main gate, ending the Vietnam War. Today, it's a must-visit for tourists in Ho Chi Minh City. The palace is like a time capsule frozen in 1975. You can see two of the original tanks used in the capture of the palace parked in the grounds. Independence Palace was the home and workplace of the French Governor of Cochin-China. It has lush gardens, secret rooms, antique furniture, and a command bunker. It's still in use to host important occasions in Ho Chi Minh, including APEC summits.

Dingo was incredibly knowledgeable and had such a bubbly personality, which turned the history of the city into a truly engaging experience rather than a dry lecture. The tour company went above and beyond to be accommodating - I can't recommend them highly enough!

5.00We had an educational and interesting day by our sweet, friendly and very spontaneous guide named Hana. Hana knew so much about the buildings, so much about the history and knew how to answer every question we asked. Spoke very good and fluent English. The food in the restaurant she suggested was super tasty. Hana has taught us so much history for which we are grateful.

From powerful war sites to an amazing Michelin-rated noodle lunch, every stop was well-chosen. Jack was flexible enough to accommodate our personal requests (like a Starbucks stop!) and kept the pace perfect. An absolute 5-star experience.

5.00It was an amazing way to experience Ho Chi Minh City, and we did so much that we wouldn’t have been able to do without this tour. Highly recommend! Really enjoyed everything from start to finish. Private car is really the best way to see the city and our tour guide showed us both major spots as well as a few more local areas.
