  Beautifully staged experience, in every sense; incredibly detailed Hobbit village and landscape, knowledgeable and entertaining guides, great food and drink at the Green Dragon, magical ending to the evening. It was just wonderful.

  The site is remarkable and definitely is the Shire from the LOTR movies. Also, the guide pointed out many interesting filming locations and unique stories that occured during the filming of the movies.

  FANTASTIC! This is like a Disneyland for adults (but less crowded)- such a magical experience. Peter Jackson and the Anderson family have turned a idyllic farm into a magical recreation of the beloved Shire. No detail was overlooked. The landscaping and props made me feel like I was in the movie. The tour guides were fun and engaging with stories and trivia from LOTR and the Hobbit movies. We also did the evening banquet tour, which make it even more special. Only 48 of us had the run of the place. Food was very good, but the vibe in the Green Dragon was perfect. True to so much in New Zealand, this attraction was not overly crowded or rushed. Even if you aren't a huge LOTR/Hobbit fan, this is a MUST DO one-of-a-kind experience.

  We did not have tickets and managed to get in. I really recommend that you get tickets before you go. My wife is not a fan of the movies but now wants to see them when we get home. It was a nice tour and our guide was a lot of fun!!! She explained how the different size hobbit houses were used to present actors in different sizes. The beer at the end was also good.

  We had a wonderful day at Hobbiton. I am a fan of the films and books but not a fanatic. The owners have done an amazing job making it true to the movie sets. Our tour guide gave as wonderful insights to the movies and scenes. I highly recommend.

  Incredible tour! Our guide was Georgia 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. She was patient and kind and took time to show us everything Hobbiton had to offer. Truly a memorable experience.

  Fun and entertaining day at Hobbiton! We truly enjoyed our visit on a beautiful, sunny day at the end of February. Our guide was so enthusiastic and efficient! He kept the group entertained and together - no small feat. The grounds were lovely and we were quite taken by the The Shire. Samwise's home was incredible. We definitely recommend a visit to Hobbiton.
