  Relived the whole trilogy of Hobbit and LOTR. Beautiful scenery crisp air transport you to the actual hobbit world. Loved every minute of it from the time you enter from familiar scenery. Staff was helpful keep you engaged by asking questions and giving necessary updates. Bit of walk if you are travelling with pram with baby or child (which we had) choose sunny day. You get complimentary drink you can choose from the green dragon inn. If you are booked for the buffet it’s worth it. Enough food and variety to choose from. Overall memorable experience can’t say anything bad (again I could be biased for the movie lol).

  We had been before 15 years ago but they’ve developed the experience significantly. When we came last time, it had been prepared for filming The Hobbit, but then filming was delayed because Peter Jackson was ill. All the gardens were up to filming standard and the hobbit holes all had frontages. This time, two hobbit holes had been constructed with interiors that you could go round. Very impressive. We also got to have a pie and a pint in the Green Dragon. I remember previously they had some of the low alcohol dark beer brewed specially for the filming but none of that was on offer this time, so I had a very nice ginger beer (I was designated driver).

  Wonderfully organised, guides are fun and informative. Bus ride to the movie set is great, the information from both the guide and the videos are good. So beautifully done, the Burroughs are exquisite in detail and now you can walk through one! Well worth the price and travel time.

  James our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The weather was sunny and the tour was great. We had plenty of time for photos, it did not feel rushed. Great tour

  Don’t do what I did and forget to book in advance. I was told to check in the day before around 3:30-4 pm for any bookings that weren’t made on other sites. We were able to book at the last minute and so glad I did that as it was so much fun! I never realized how much work goes into movie production! Our guide Laurie was so informative. He made it very enjoyable. Kudos to him! Now I want to watch the movies again!

  Hobbiton is magical…and the new but being allowed to go inside a hole was fabulous. The Banquet elevated it to amazing. But our guides—Aimee, Peter, and Taylor—took it up that last step to awe-inspiring. They were kind, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. They knew how to keep even the non-fans interested and engaged. They were patient with us taking pictures and accommodating to our nerdiness. The banquet staff was calm, professional, patient with questions, and ever so effiecient. Their attention to, and patience with, dietary restrictions. There was a spot when I purchased the tickets to input dietary needs, they asked again at check-in, and a third time at the feast. A few days prior we ate at a restaurant that had earned One Hat—they had issues accommodating my request for non-meat dishes. Only thing I was sad about was the group size: it was so large that we didnt really have time/opportunity to talk with the guide and get stories from them.

  A fun and exciting experience, awesome by the level of detail that the filmmakers took. No wonder the movies were movies. The guides told great stories, some lame jokes and the crowd was respectful of the set while having time to take wonderful, memory making photos. Movie magic!
