Join this tour to visit two of New Zealand’s most famous attractions, Hobbiton Movie Set and Waitomo Caves, in one easy day trip from Auckland. Our tour from 1 December 2023 will be the extended Hobbiton Experience (now 2.5 hours) where you can venture beyond the door to a fully themed Hobbit Hole interior. Immerse yourself in the interior with entry hall, bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, dining area, equipped bathroom, parlour and crackling fireplace. Be fascinated as the magical world of Hobbiton comes to life and take photos in front of your favourite places like the Hobbit Holes, the Shire and the Green Dragon Inn. Then journey to the World Famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves and be captivated by the thousands of magical glowworms twinkling in the Grottos, the stalactites and stalagmites as you glide silently through the cave by boat. Marvel at the stunning scenery en route as we journey off the motorways into the real hinterland of New Zealand. All admission fees and cafe lunch included.

A Wonderful Journey to the land of the Hobbits

The package (hobbiton and waitomo with lunch) is worth the value for money. The Hobbiton and Waitomo Cave experience was awesome and something that is etched in our hearts. David S5.0Sep 2024Great tour. Lots of time in the car but that was expected. Driver/tour guide was excellent, lots of great anecdotes and stories along the way (I think his name was Danny? Tall skinny guy with the dark frame glasses). Hobbiton is unbelievably amazing. Glow worm caves were great. Highly recommended all the way around. I didn’t see this mentioned but there is a cafe when you get to Hobbiton and we had plenty of time to eat a light breakfast there before the tour.Amazing tour

J V5.0Sep 2024Firstly, the tour was well organized, well paced, equipment top notch, and the driver (Alex) affable, accommodating, and excellent behind the wheel. Hobbiton, quite frankly, exceeded our expectations. So unique and well done, nestled amidst beautiful scenery. I was skeptical, but now a convert. The cave/glowworm tour was also very very well organized with humor and information in equal parts. The facilities are excellent.
