Children aged 7 years and below are required to travel in a child safety car seat. You can provide your own or one can be provided for $20 NZD (with 24 hours notice).

5.00We loved our day exploring Hobbiton and the Waitomo Caves! Our tour guide Liam was exceptional; he was incredibly energetic, knowledgeable, and kind. Liam made sure everyone was comfortable throughout our long day together, and kept us on-time, well-fed, caffeinated, and happy (with even an ice cream break towards the end!) Hobbiton and the Waitomo Caves themselves were incredibly beautiful and globally unique places to visit. This tour is a must-do!

5.00We had a great time at Hobbiton and the Waitomo caves with Ben. He was knowledgeable and kept the tour interesting and engaging. The cost was reasonable considering everything included, and it was good to have everything organised for us.

5.00Incredible tour, even if you are not a LOTH nerd. Countryside was spectacular, complete with fog, rivers, sheep and cows. Hobbiton was amazing - the details and fantasy of it all was pure magic. And then the glowworms - more magic, the caves had a spiritual vibe. And Cheeky Dave of CheekyKiwi tours was awesome - he made our day easy, informed and perfect!

5.00We had a phenomenal time on this tour on our last full day in New Zealand. The Hobbiton tour was very well done and was highly entertaining for the kids who were not even really into the movies. In the afternoon, seeing the glowworms from the boat in the cave was a magical experience. Richard did a great job explaining what we were planned to see and keeping us on time while making sure we had enough time to enjoy the experiences. There were many options for the included lunch, and everything our family shared was very tasty. This tour was definitely a highlight of our trip!

5.00A long day that starts early but is definitely worth it. We had made this trip almost 10 years ago, we had loved it so much that we wanted to do it again. We weren't disappointed! The local travel agency was perfect from the booking, they communicate regularly and quickly, our driver guide Cam managed the day very well, smiling, friendly and very informative, just perfect. Lunch was included, simple but rather good, in a small local restaurant. Stop on the way back for an ice cream. Yeah.
