5.00Great experience. Simon was our driver and he is highly recommended. Friendly, patient and knowledgeable. All the pit stops for food were delicious. My wife and two kids have zero complaints. The weather was also awesome. The tour guides at both the Hobbiton and the Waitomo Caves were knowledgeable, friendly, and fun.

5.00Although a long day of travel, Hobbiton and the Caves were truly worth touring and seeing. Our driver was very nice and pleasant. Definitely an experience you'll never forget!

4.00The hobbiton set was a great experience as a Lord of the rings fan. It was really beautiful and the attention to detail was really cool. The highlight was being able to go inside one of the hobbit holes. I wouldn't recommend it though if you aren't a fan. The tour groups are large and it's difficult to take in some of the views with 40 other people in your way. The waitamo caves was a cool experience as well but make sure to bring grippy shoes. The floor is wet in some areas and it's kind of slippery. Looking at the glow worms in the dark was surreal, like you are looking at a constellation. But overall, I wouldn't say this is a must see. So, if you are tight on budget, just stick to the hobbiton set.

5.00Grant was a fun and super friendly tour guide. He is very knowledgeable, helpful and always gave some good recommendations especially the choice of restaurants. The whole experience was really fantastic, Hobitton is stunning and really worth for a visit
