Every Saturday night, we visit the prestigious Salgueiro Samba School (one of the best in Rio de Janeiro).

Upon arrival at the Samba School Rehearsal, your entrance fee is included, and a comfortable table will have been reserved for you and your group.

This magical night will begin with a Music Band. Beautiful dancers, baianas, and the flag-bearing couple will introduce you to the fascinating world of Samba and Rio Carnival.

At around 11:30 PM, the highlight of the evening will be the performance of the bateria (percussion orchestra), the heart of the samba school. At 1:00 AM, we will take you and your group back to your accommodation.

Without a doubt, you will remember this night forever!

We can describe the samba school rehearsal, but there are no words to explain the incredible energy and unique feeling of visiting a samba school.

Salgueiro Samba School Rehersal

Duration:5 hours

Operating Schedule:Depending on your hotel, we will pick you up between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Your tour includes round-trip transportation to your accommodation in the following neighborhoods: Centro, Catete, Botafogo, Flamengo, Glória, Lapa, Copacabana, Leme, Ipanema, and Leblon. We do not offer pickup in Barra da Tijuca, São Conrado, and Recreio (meeting point: Hotel Sheraton Leblon) or in Santa Teresa (meeting point: Hotel Vila Galé – Centro). We will message you on your tour date, to inform your exact pickup time. Upon arrival at the Samba School Rehearsal, your entrance fee is included, and a comfortable table will have been reserved for you and your group. This magical night will begin with a fun Brazilian Popular Music Band. Beautiful dancers, baianas, talented musicians, and the flag-bearing couple will introduce you to the fascinating world of Samba and Rio Carnival. At around 11:30 PM, the highlight of the evening will be the performance of the bateria (percussion orchestra), the heart of the samba school. Sixty percussion instruments played simultaneously in perfect harmony create a wonderful rhythm of unparalleled strength and joy. At 1:00 AM, we will take you and your group back to your accommodation.

Lully was the best host and may be one of the happiest Cariocas I’ve ever met. We had so much fun at the samba night and it was great to watch everyone learn the new song for 2026 Carnival. If you get a chance to experience the samba school, definitely go with Lully!!!

A super unmissable experience if you go to Rio!!! Living the energy of a Scola do samba from the inside is amazing! A night of colors, samba songs and joy as the Brazilian people live it! The guide Lully a genius who taught us to sambar and accompanied us to enjoy the experience to the fullest!!

We loved this experience, very fun and close to carnival culture. You're going with Lully, who's super nice and super attentive. Besides having a great time we were taught by the school from the inside * and it is an activity with locals, it does not feel guiri at all. I recommend it!
