Hoi An
The evening food tour invites guests on a culinary experience around Hoi An. It's a carefully curated food adventure, led by the team of professional food guides. Before we get started, the tour reflects the local cuisine, and the limitations of street food vendors means we unfortunately cannot cater for every dietary restriction. Here's an honest appraisal for the tour, so no-one is disappointed: - Unsuitable for vegetarian diets sorry, as there would be 3-4 less tastings. - Unsuitable for severe allergies, halal and celiac diets, due to the risk of traces and cross-contamination. If you are feeling adventurous for a foodie journey, read on!
Hoi An
Discover another side to Hoi An’s heritage in a curated food adventure like no other. We begin with a steaming bowl of cao làu noodles, hand-cut from the original family house using water hauled that morning from the millennia-old Bà Lê well. This movable feast is just getting started, with 15+ tastings in all - from smoky marinated meat skewers to shredded com gà chicken with fragrant rice. Tucked away is an alleyway joint serving black sesame xí mà soup for over 70 years, made of the same secret recipe as the centenarian couple that invented it. Next we’ll venture to the market to find stalls discovered by Anthony Bourdain, where the tapioca shrimp dumplings hail from the royal court kitchens of Huế.

Sonny, great guy, great food tour! Not many good tires will take you to an organic vegetable farm and let you play with fire! Expect the unexpected. Highly recommended!

This tour is among our top three favourite Chef's Tour that we went on. The food was amazing and each bite was an explosion of flavour. We kept on eating even though we were full. The tour was made better by our wonderful guide Sonny. As his name suggests, Sonny had a very bright and positive vibe! He made the entire experience very entertaining with his charismatic personality! I hope everyone will be fortunate enough to have Sonny as their guide as your experience will definitely be elevated beyond just the good cuisine!

We had an amazing time with Andy, tasting what felt like the breadth and depth of the food on offer in Hoi An and the local area. He had a TON of knowledge to share with us on each dish, restaurant, and what was around it. We tasted things we would have never thought to have order (despite a lot of research prior), so really worth the time and money. Our favourite was the first dish with set a super high bar, but everything that followed was also amazing and Vietnamese food we’d never tried before, despite multiple previous trips. Delicious and an amazing way to beat the tourist crowds get to see more of the ‘true’ Hoi An with a super friendly local If we had any tips/advice… come hungry (skip lunch!) and check the weather forecast just to be sure. A Grab from Da Nang is inexpensive. Head to a local bar afterwards for a bit for cheaper Grab fares (8pm seems a peak time). And finally, book!! Don’t miss out on an awesome day ☺️ Thanks so much again Andy and team!

I had an incredible food tour in Hoi An with Sonny as our guide. It was honestly one of the highlights of my trip to Vietnam! Sonny is not only friendly and professional, but also very knowledgeable about local culture and history. He explained the stories behind each dish, not just the ingredients. I loved learning how Hoi An’s trading history influenced its cuisine. We tried so many delicious local specialties such as cao lau, banh xeo, white rose dumplings, and the eggplant. Everything was authentic and carefully selected. Sonny also took us to small local spots that we would never find by ourselves. What made the experience special was Sonny’s energy and passion. He made everyone feel comfortable and welcomed, and his English was very clear and easy to understand. He also answered all our questions with patience and enthusiasm. If you are visiting Hoi An and want to explore the real local food scene, I highly recommend this food tour with Sonny. It’s more than just eating – it’s about culture, stories, and connection. Thank you, Sonny, for such a memorable evening!

Very knowledgeable and nice guide who spoke good English. We had to go places you would never have found otherwise. Interesting composition of different types of food and also visit to a fantastic countryside. Very well arranged and everything worked in an organized and pleasant way.

Quin was super knowledgeable, very sweet, and really attentive. She explained things clearly, checked in with everyone, and made the whole experience feel easy and comfortable. What I loved most was how thoughtful the food selection was. You can tell a lot of care went into picking each stop, and together they tell a real story of Hoi An’s food culture. Every dish had a purpose. Honestly, it was probably the best food tour I’ve ever done. Highly recommend if you want a relaxed but high-quality food experience in Hoi An.
